Kevin , The head of stock and manages shopping carts is awesome!! He makes you feel special when you’re in and around the store. It’s a great feeling . Keep up the great job!

Loved it their are good deals in food basic, their Tuesday student discount program is fabulous 👌.

The bus stop is closest to any grocery store in Guelph, so people with no cars can visit & wont be burdened to carry grocery around. Also on Tuesdays they have student discounts.

Unique bad experience 2 days ago. Bought peaches and pears (with out my wife's okay!) both were awful.
Inedible.Had to put into the garbage. ??previously frozen.

Clean, organized, friendly and helpful staff. Lots of selection and so far anything we have purchased has been of good quality. There are 4 supermarkets at the same intersection and this store has the lowest price for the same food items. As grocery bills are skyrocketing it doesn't make any sense (or dollars for that matter) to go anywhere else. Self serve checkout system is a bit tedious to use due to the constant request for a store clerk to verify the scanned item. However this minor nuisance shouldn't dissuade anyone to shop at this store. For technologically challenged individuals such as myself there are plenty of friendly cashiers open to scan my items. Anytime I have visited this store there are no more than one maybe two people in any given check out line so there isn't much of a delay.

Went to see the performance of Freaky Friday at the War Memorial Hall on campus at noon today and loved it! The cast and crew pulled off an awesome show. Truly entertaining! Two performances let. Tonight at 7 pm and tomorrow at 7 pm. Highly recommend it!!

I am so pleased with the staff and their efforts to keep the store cleaned, stocked and the customers welcomed. Especially “Kevin” the cart cleaning guy and door greeter. He is such a boost of positivity right at the entrance!. Selections are always excellent and 99% of the time I can find what I want and need. Quality is great and fresh.

We like this food basics. It is nicely laid out and has a lot of groceries. The prices are reasonable considering their location they're in. The staff are friendly and helpful. The store is clean and very well laid out. The prices are very reasonable compared to other grocery stores. This is our favorite food basics. I have no hesitation recommending this place

Yes they have good discounts and good products but the main reason I go there is Kevin. This man is amazing. He has great energy and excellent customer service. Definitely makes grocery shopping so much fun!

The staff are friendly and helpful unlike the new manager who is far too busy to answer questions from customers. The cashiers and support staff are incredibly helpful and always add personal touches. The managers attitude has not rubbed off on the staff

Lots of food, good prices. Things are really getting expensive but it is the general mood of the country. The parking lot has recently been upgraded.

This is my favourite place to go grocery shopping in Guelph. The prices are great, has a decent selection, is well maintained and clean, and in my experience isn't is crowded as most other grocery stores in town. I've generally found the staff to be pretty friendly and will continue to come here as my main grocery store.

I love this store always clean and a great selection. The cashiers are hit or miss. I’ve had some very rude cashiers since the covid struck. Kevin the greeter cart attendant is the best. He makes an extraordinary effort and always makes me laugh and feel good every time I see him. Big kiddos to Kevin !!!

Food Basics is my favorite grocery store. It's nice and clean. I feel safe shopping there. A huge shout out to Kevin, the greeter and cart washer. Such a wonderful welcome and he's a breath of fresh air

Nice place to do grocery shopping. Fare prices..only downside is that you don't get any mobile coverage inside the store if you want to check out the flyer or something.

Wonderful clean & big location. I prefer it to the older one on Eramosa Rd. because of all those reasons & this store always has better stocked shelves, & more selection of product & produce.

During this difficult time this Food Basics takes more precautions then ANY other grocery store and for that alone I commend them. Their greeter, Kevyn, is the most welcoming, respectful and happy person I have seen in the past year. The cashiers ALWAYS clean the belt and make sure the customer checking out has packed their groceries before letting the next client check out. Bravo !
