Pete's Frootique & Fine Foods

I haven't been to Pete's for a while. There are still many options for buying warm ready to eat food. The most obvious one was too busy to take a pic without getting customer faces caught in the pic. I try not to do that. The new thing to me anyway, was the gourmet, ready to eat pizzas by the slice. (See pics) They looked amazing! Great variety and display. Lots of staff taking care of the pizzas and answering questions. Written descriptions were well put together. I miss the energy that Pete brought to the business, but under sobeys ownership it is still a nice place to go.

This is the best store. We love wandering around and seeing so many food products that you don't see anywhere else. Great variety of teas. Fabulous produce!! Great butcher, love the sausages. Bakery is great too! We had fun and spent a long time puttering and looking around. We will be back!!

Always such a great experience. Fresh produce and not as expensive as one would think. The store is always clean and the staff, very helpful and friendly.

Josiah was amazing today in the juice bar. I have 4 orders for him, just as he was busy cleaning up his last smoothie machine and he was so so kind and accommodating to us and eagerly made us the best smoothies ever!! Thank you Josiah for your kindness and willingness to help especially after you clean up everything and was ready to clock out!!

I love Pete's! My husband is from the UK, and when we moved here from Ontario I was worried about where we would get all of our favourite products! To date, I have been able to find everything we need! Outside of UK products, their produce and baked goods are amazing quality, and they are often fully stocked. I also love that I can buy individual pieces of produce (like one carrot) instead of a 2lb bag I don't need and often goes to waste. The team works hard to keep the store clean, too. Their deli/food bar has a really great variety of different foods; We love getting our ingredients here for charcuterie because of the broad selection of products. Their meat counter is exceptional quality and we can often find obscure produce and proteins here. They also make excellent cheese and meat boards! So glad to have a store like this close to home! If you like to purchase seasonal items from the UK, be sure to buy early as they sell out quickly. One of our most exciting discoveries recently is Farm Boy products, as it was our go-to market when we lived in Ontario.

I LOVE Pete's!!! Sending a huge thank you for the best Cod fish cakes....they are delicious as is everything else at Pete's!! Customer service is five star!

This is a great spot for international foods and quality premade food. The mall that it is in has unique shops with items you cannot find elsewhere. The food court is also good, I have never had a bad experience eating there. And don’t forget the flowers, they create bespoke bouquets for all events.

Always a good place to stop for ex-pat foods, amazing selection and friendly staff. They have a great British sweets and snacks selection with many options you can only find here.

They also have a really good cold drink selection, bakery area, deli and butcher shop. We also enjoy their vegetarian and organic section.

Did not go in , but certainly was impress with there inviting entrance .

I love this branch! It’s bigger than the one in downtown Halifax! Many cafes and restaurants in the building!

Love shopping here. Usually find something unique/different worth giving a try. Have the best in meats. If not in stocks will get/order it in.

Unique fruit and vegetables from around the world plus local seasonal produce. I especially like their butcher and UK specialty sections. I always shop there on Tuesday for 10% off.

One of the few places in Halifax where you could get Stone Harvests’ breads cheap. Like this location because it’s cozy.

Love this store so much, amazing selection and so many unique items that I've never seen anywhere else. Not the cheapest place to buy food (far from it actually) but grateful to have a spot that we can try rare things that we otherwise wouldn't have access to. Always clean, well maintained and full of friendly staff.

I always look forward to my Pete's experience. The Cheese and Onion Walker crisps are my favorite! Looking at the variety of foods and the beautiful fresh veggies, especially the cauliflower. It must have been twice the size of anything you would purchase in the grocery stores.

Nice selection of hard to fine items. They have a great selection of ready-made made dinner items. Their produce is way superior to the national chains, and they have a good selection of international foods.

A wonderful store that has the freshest produce around the area. And you can find specialty items that are not possible to find in the mainstream grocery stores. I feel that I am in a top quality store when I go to Pete's Frootique.

They do indeed have fine foods! Pricier than your average grocer, but also not meant to be your average grocer either. With that in mind you'll find a more elaborate deli, bakery, and produce section with some stuff you might not run into everyday! Some cool imported products if you want to check out new things to use ingredient wise. Again while on the pricier end, you can find great options here for a lunch or supper on the go. They probably make the best lasagna I've ever had! Chicken tostadas, samosas, meatballs all very solid options.

They have everything you could want and more. AWESOME store.
