The Great British Shop

As a Brit, this shop is like going home. I would have 1 of everything if I could, but if you have to choose only one thing in this shop you must try the pies. They are excellent, tasty and not short of filling. My wife enjoyed a Sausage Roll, and I had a steak and stilton pie, and a steak and kidney pie, all were just great, very tasty.

Delicious baked, friendly staff. A lot of products. very well located. ample parking. very generous portions. the cornish pasty a bit different than the cornish baked in Cornwall

We got the sausage roll, birdie, steak and potato pie, and the corn beef pasty. All of it was DELICIOUS. Prices are very reasonable as well. Looking forward to trying the desserts next time, they looked mouth watering.

Wow! What a great British shop! They have an amazing fresh baked food selection as well as shelves full of all our favourite crisps and chocolates! Stop in for a delicious lunch or just to stock up your treats cupboard, you won't regret it!

What a nice addition to this plaza! This cute little shop has every day grocery items (that I assume are native to the UK) as well as pies, pastries, pasty's, and more.

It has been 16 years since I have been to England, and I have missed the cheese and onion pastys. And the Smiths scampi and bacon snacks. My heart was bursting this morning discovering this place. The food is amazing, service was excellent 👌. I will be back..

Lots of savoury and sweet selection. Had the cheese and onion pasty, chicken curry pasty and both quite good. The cheese and onion is my favorite so far.
Well worth the trip and the place smells delicious when you walk in. Friendly and efficient service.

First time in today. Tried the pies, chicken and mushroom and the chicken and curry both amazing. As well as the sausage rolls, delicious. We’ll definitely be back.

I have been going here so often that the ladies and I know each other by names.
Yes, they sell freshly baked British foods that you can take home to heat up - yourself.
The sausage rolls are normally what sell out the quickest, as they are ADDICTIVE.
The ladies normally have a bunch stocked in their counter heater, ready for lunch time frame for those looking for something quick and deliciously filling.
There are sometimes also pot pies in the counter heater, along with pasties - but again, depends on the time of day, as they sell fast!!
The options for foods is definitely worth looking, I always get distracted by looking around, everytime I go in.
The cheesy onion pasty is actually quite delicious if you like cheese and some spice in a pastry.

My most FAVOURITE treat is the strawberry custard tarts.

A little slice of home. I am so glad that these guys have opened up in Halifax. Ive really missed my English foods, but let's be honest..in this day and age I could get that from them online now..right? ( Except for the sausage rolls..those you MUST visit and try hot!) So it's the staff that make me get in my car and drive in to Halifax to visit the store. The ladies that work the counter make my day every time I go there..the banter..always a good story or a joke.. and always smiling..its that special ingredient that a lot of stores are missing these days...please don't ever change!

Fantastic service and selection. Especially love the meat pies - so many I can’t pick a favourite, but the chicken curry and the steak and mushroom have to be near the top. Sausage rolls are excellent, and I can never head out without a few sweets for dessert!

Called in to this nice place the other day and such a great first impression. The place looked clean and the layout was so nicely done and easy to see. The service was first class and I had the pleasure of being served by a lovely Scottish lady who name was Carol and she was so friendly and the banter aka patter was so jolly and fun especially when she smiled. Got what I wanted and it's a sure thing that I will call again!

Great shop for all your British goods. Their pies, empire biscuits & fern cakes are delicious.
The wee Scottish lass Carol that works there is a lovely lassie. Always smiling and very friendly.

Stopped in for the first time this weekend and loved it. They have a great selection of British goods, candy and frozen items. A wonderful display case awaits with delicious pot pies. We picked up two Bakewell tarts yum and also a Victoria sponge. It has raspberry jam and cream in a light sponge. No soggy bottom on that and freaking awesome. Can't wait to go back and check out their other offerings.

Boss lady surprised me with a festive (turkey dinner) pastry (croissant), and it was to die for!

I feel bad regarding the people leaving 2 star reviews, their problems aren't even an issue with the store but in how they themselves want things done (longer hours, sausage roll doesn't taste like a different store even though they're different types of sausage roll).

Bought the sausage roll and it was great. Also bought a lemon tart and steak and onion pie and they were awesome. Small place but will definitely return because their food is delicious and the price is extremely on point! I don't think anyone can say anything bad about the prices lol

Great taste of British baked goods. Happy helpful staff especially the young Geordie girl behind the counter. She’s polite helpful and has a wonderful smile.. it’s a must to stop at and buy some of your favourites you miss from over the ocean. 😊 happy customer
