Great food market, organic food, local produce excellent coffee, treats, sandwiches, music ( which isn’t too loud!) friendly helpful staff. Just next to lovely Dundurn park. Hidden gem.

Love this shop and all the delicious options for produce and local/organic items. The local bounty box is such a great deal and online ordering process makes it so easy to shop and pick up. Street parking and a lot are available for customers as well

Fantastic selection of local foods. Loads of vegan and gluten free options too! You dont have to be a member to shop there either. The cafe is amazing too with local coffees and baked goods!

Lovely little shop with all sorts of natural and homemade products and food. I bought a delicious loaf of bread, some pastries and what looks like the nicest carrot cake muffin Ive ever seen. Excellent service too! Delightful place to visit while you're in Hamilton.

Wonderful selection of local craft beers, ciders, wines. Excellent local seasonal produce.

The Mustard Seed has been reborn as the Strathcona market. Same focus on organic products with a new addition of a local wine selection.

Still a great place!

While it still offers most of the basics it is very scaled back from the grocery story Mustard Seed was. I'd say it's now more of a coffee shop meets bougie cocktail party/brunch supply store. The options on hand are good quality, but much more expensive than similar quality from the farmer's market.

It's a wonderful place to grab a quick bite or a good coffee after yoga or before a long walk in the park! The staff are all lovely and very helpful if you have any questions or can't find something.

And if you do need some last minute supplies for a dinner party, like a bottle of wine or some nice crackers and cheese, this is definitely a go to place!

Great market with lots of options and local goods! Friendly staff, neatly set up and clean. Just wish I lived closer! Also make sure to grab one of their apple pies, so good!

The best latte I’ve ever had! (Lavender toffee latte) I also had the frittata wrap for lunch today and it was SO good. This is my new favourite spot. I love how all their produce is local as well! 10/10! I am now a regular :)

Fantastic local market! The coffee and pastries are wonderful, the staff is outstanding, and the produce is really fresh. I subscribe to a weekly market box and the value for the money as well as the quality of the items is unmatched. Highly recommended!

It's so nice to have a neighborhood hub and café on Inchbury at last. Great menu, service and ambience.

Grew up in this neighborhood, I remember when this building was first a Portuguese grocery store and then a South Korean one. Was very happy when Mustard Seed opened here, but like its predecessors, was more grocery focused.

Now operated by the MRKT folks, Strathcona Market is really embracing a much more neighborhood focused cafe feel, at no expense to the grocery service. Very happy about this, and happy to have a spot to sit with a latte and my little guy after a run.

Good selection of products, they still have some of my old favorites that mustard seed used to carry. I'd say the one flaw is the lack of prices on some of the products, it happens often enough that it makes it a bit hard to buy more interesting products when they never have a price on them.

Other than that it's a good option in the area.

Update: I've tried 6 - 7 of their specialty drinks, the peppermint mocha is my favorite, their muffins are great as well, the Swiss and Bell pepper tastes like a quiche in muffin form.

The new cafe is excellent and complements the grocery store beautifully! Awesome patio with a great, very thoughtful selection of drinks and snacks.

Amazing store in Hamilton. Amazing local produce. I personally love there bulk section. My favourite place for bulk household items. I won't buy shampoo anywhere else!! It's a great place to support a small business and to support all their suppliers. Its a cozy casual homey place. All the staff is super helpful and super nice. I love this store!

I was a little hesitant to shop here because the former market, The Mustard Seed, had some pretty awful produce. However, the new owners have revamped the place and it’s gorgeous. I now drive out of my way for their quinoa and soba noodle bowls, as well as their chocolate zucchini cake. I work at the hospital and it’s so easy to grab a healthy bowl at this market on my break rather than takeout. The staff are so nice as well. Thanks for helping me make better food choices when I’m on 12 hour shifts and tired/hungry.

Love this place, lots of great small brands, fresh produce, my fav dairy brands and the house made baked goods, coffee and grocery items are clutch. So happy these mrkt boxes are in my go-to places in town!!!

A lovely little market with organic, gluten free and unusual products that you can't find elsewhere. Mad Mexican products are the real deal.

I love this shop! Their little café makes delicious coffees. They have a great selection of local, organic, and natural products. Prices are comparable to regular grocery stores. Their selection of breads is fantastic but you have to get there early before they're gone.

Amazing selection of grocery items from local businesses! Great place to go for alternative diet items ie: vegan or gluten-free. Membership is not required, but available if you plan to shop here with some frequency and want to save money.

They also have a great café with an espresso machine, baked goods (including from Donut Monster), a great variety of alternative milk options and house-made syrups as well!
