I had my long curly hair layer by one of their student stylist, Anna! She ROCKED it! I’m so impressed especially because cutting curly hair is not easy! Not only was she the sweetest person, she took care of my hair like a boss! She even had to sit on the ground to cut it cause it was so long! I 100% recommend Anna!

I went in with knots from my extensions, my hair was matted pretty badly. Ali and his colleagues took their time and gently removed all the knots from my hair. The ambience was friendly and calm, the salon was well-kept and clean. All staff and students were friendly and welcoming. I love my haircut and scalp treatment. My hair feels healthy, smooth and shiny! I will come again to get my hair coloured soon. Thanks, Ali and team for a great service!

I visited La Luma for the first time and definitely plan on returning! My hairstylist Emily was very confident, skilled, and professional. It was a relaxing atmosphere, a clean salon, and the staff and students all seemed to work well together. It's great to be able to support students in this way. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

I had a fantastic experience at La Luma Salon. Jenna, my stylist, was friendly and easy to talk to. My cut turned out amazing, and my hair feels soft, healthy, and smells great! The atmosphere at the salon was welcoming, and the attention to detail in the service was impressive. Super happy with the results! Ill definitely be coming back for more!

Today I had the opportunity to meet Jacob! What can I say, besides how awesome my appointment went :) Was a last minute decision to schedule me in, but as always the staff here are amazing!
Jacob is very knowledgeable, attentive, listens very well, flexible and very welcoming. I can never really relax in the chair to have my hair washed by anyone, but he managed to get this time, to forget my "work mode" and relax and enjoy the scalp 💆‍♂. Afterwards, the process of blow drying technique was great and the style of my waves/curls... love them.

Jennifer was great! I really appreciated the time she took to understand what I was wanting done with my hair, as well she knew the importance of not taking too much off as I wanted to keep the length. Very professional and personable.

I booked with Ali Raheemi for a wash & blowout ahead of a girls' night out and I am so happy with how it turned out. It is such an amazing feeling to have a stylist who connects with you and understands what you want. I will definitely be back and recommending him to my friends.

Just came back from La Luma and it was completely wonderful!
Went in for a cut, but didn’t want too much length off. Mallory listened to my very poorly described goals for my hair, and it came out even better than I expected or imagined. Such a good experience.

Would highly recommend Mallory if you’re a person with curly hair, looking for a salon in Guelph that’s accessible and affordable.

Amazing deal! I've been here a couple times to get a haircut by students and it's always a great experience. I just got a cut by Jennifer and am very happy with her work. She also gave me so much good advice.

Had an an appointment with Hannah today for a balayage and she did an amazing job. She explained all the steps and the best options. Usually, I don’t like my hair after a salon visit but I loved my hair this time. Will definitely be going to Hannah again for my hair

Mackenzie did such an amazing job!! I haven't been this happy with my haircut in about 10 years. I felt SO listened to, and respected in terms of wishes. We all have hair horror stories (hairror stories??) of the length being cut off more than we asked, or the wrong cut, or a terrible dye job. Not at La Luma.

From the moment you walk in, they are there to serve. And the prices cannot be beat--I actually wanted to leave a big tip, which is a new feeling to navigate haha.

I recently had the pleasure of receiving a haircut from a young and exceptionally talented hairstylist, Olivia, and I must express my genuine satisfaction with her work. Her attentive listening to my style preferences and remarkable precision in executing the haircut left me thoroughly impressed. I departed the salon with a great sense of delight and a newfound appreciation for her skills. It is evident that this young hairstylist has a promising future in the industry, and I would wholeheartedly endorse her services to anyone seeking an impeccable and stylish haircut.

I had my hair cut by Mallory today, and I can EASILY say it was the best haircut experience I’ve ever had. 10/10. I was incredibly well cared for, Mallory is very knowledgeable, and my cut is everything that I had envisioned. It’s really fun when a hairstylist is just as excited about your new “do” as you are 🥰 Will be back!

As someone who has changed many hair stylists in Guelph, La Luma is my favourite! I went in again and got a super cute cut and a new blonde tone from Olivia, she was amazing and her supervisor helped a lot as well and I always have a good experience here :)

Emma an intermediate student cut my hair today and it turned out fabulous!! She had an instructor Mallory who offered a few tips and techniques to help define my my curls.Which Emma executed beautifully. I absolutely love it.
She also recommended some amazing products which don't only work, but smell amazing!! Highly recommend la Luma Academy and their team!!

Second Time I’ve been to this salon and dealt with Mary. Each time I have an amazing experience. Mary takes the time to make sure everything is up to the clients expectations and stays late to make sure her clients are happy. Mary did my hair colour for my wedding and again today we did blonde highlights. I will continue to go back as the environment is like a home away from home! Keep up the amazing job you guys are doing ! Will be back again!

So very happy with my hair cut. The customer service was wonderful something I have not experienced in sometime. Was offered and served a delicious coffee. Makenzie did a great job listening and asking my preferenc in my cut and style.
