Soft ice cream was amazing! We were lucky because we didn’t have to wait when we went. The service was fast and we really enjoyed the place. Plenty of parking spots with a few tables outside.

After a morning of fishing on River Road, my son and I felt like going out for lunch. Talk about restaurant nostalgia. Vintage diner. The walls are covered with an amazing amount of hockey memorabilia. When you walk in, the menu is right there to greet you. I ordered the Lockport Dog, Lg Fries, and a Butter Rum Milkshake. Really good hotdog and fries. However, the Butter Rum Milkshake was an incredible experience. I haven't had one in years. DAMN THAT WAS GOOD!!! Thank you.

The ice cream is so delicious. The people working here are very nice and I go here every summer. It looks good inside the restaurant. The flavours are great as well.

Nice drive to get away from it all to clear one’s mind. Why not stop at the famous hot dog place called Skinner’s in Lockport. Just 22 klm’s north of Winnipeg.

Back in the day there was a water slide for a fun filled day. I don’t remember how many bath suit bottoms I replaced that one summer. It does not matter it was fun while it lasted. Now the water slides are just fond memories.

Many people stop here year round to step back in time with the retro furniture, tables, chairs, memories posted on the walls, juke box, the food is still the same (tasty) with friendly service. You can sit inside & in the summer months please enjoy the outdoor patio. Make sure you leave enough room for ice cream.

The remodelled washrooms are very clean ‘n added flowers for a nice touch.

If you forgot fishing gear, please stop in their store.

You will not be disappointed ‘n enjoy. Cheers

Skinner's World Famous Hotdogs in Lockport, Manitoba, truly lives up to its reputation! The Lockport dog is nothing short of amazing - perfectly grilled, bursting with flavor, and an absolute delight for the taste buds.

What makes the experience even better are their delectable sides. The onion rings are a league of their own, crispy on the outside with a sweet, tender interior. Truly, the perfect companion to their heavenly hotdogs.

And the treat doesn't end here! Skinner's offers a massive selection of hard ice cream, each variety more tantalizing than the last. Whether you're a fan of classics or more adventurous flavours, you're bound to find something that will delight your palate.

The cherry on top? The location! Situated next to the picturesque Lockport Dam, the ambiance is as appetizing as the food itself. Skinner's not only serves the best hotdogs around but also offers a feast for the eyes.

In conclusion, if you're in the area, a visit to Skinner's World Famous Hotdogs is an absolute must! A remarkable 5-star culinary experience awaits you.

Excellent food! Their smokie dogs are my favourite, but everything I’ve tried here has always been great. They get quite busy here on weekends, but it’s still usually not too bad of a wait. Plenty of seating available, and located in a great location on the river. Normally they also have a great farmer’s market here on Sundays, although that hasn’t been going on recently because of COVID

Best hamburger in Manitoba! Great service too. Don't forget to get the fried onions and finish off with ice cream - Skinners is the best. Or try the foot-long hotdog - awesome! We go all the time. Plus you get a beautiful view of the locks while you eat.

I decided to go for a lunch break, and what a great idea that was! I ordered a cheeseburger & poutine and it was delicious. Perfect amount of cheese and gravy on the poutine. Took my hangry-ness away! Happy me!

It was our first time visiting here, and we enjoyed it. We loved the atmosphere, old styled diner feel, including mini table junk boxes. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was tasty - we ordered burgers. The best part was seeing all the old collector cars in the parking lot. A must-see place.

loved coming here with my grandparents for the hotdogs, fries, and arcade. lots of framed hockey pictures around the place. it could be updated as it's a little run down but that's only part of the charm.
