Sonia's Stand

We have past Sonia’s several times and decided to stop in. My wife had a double cheese dog and I had a double burger. We shared an onion rings and fried mushrooms. The food was delicious we will be going back

I drove past it and was thinking to myself...I have driven this way so many times, and I never stopped here before.
Made a U-turn and went to order the homemade pumpkin soft serve ice cream.
The service was great. Happy friendly staff.
They tried to make the ice cream, but they had an issue with the ice cream machine. He asked me if I was ok with having it as a milkshake.
I had no problem with his solution. Now I personally love apple pie.
The homemade pumpkin milkshake was amazing. My wife 100% agreed with me. We were very happy we made that U-turn.

I always go for ice cream but on this visit it was dinner. My cheese burger was very good, home made , fried onions which was great for myself but might not be everyone's choice. Also sampled was they're chicken burger which was very tasty but we chose to defeat 1/2 the topping on the with everything choice. Overall great home made food. Unfortunately was too full to go back to order ice cream. BTW take out only but lots of picnic tables.

Awsome food. Great homemade patties. Cheese wiz for cheese and fried onions o the burger are awsome. The buns are so soft. Highly recommend.

Burgers were homemade heaven.
Fries were a little bland. Need some seasoning salt or salt. We'll be back soon!

My favourite burger stand! They have the best cheeseburgers and the fries are perfect. Excellent creamy soft serve ice cream as well.

One of my favourite burger and shake joints around. Cheeseburger with the works is gooey goodness. Simple and delicious every time. Be sure to grab a milkshake or slush with your order.

Just had one of their excellent burgers. Just the right mix of spices to make it an excellent burger. Cheap too.

Best Hot Dogs anywhere! We love coming here! We call ahead and our order is ready upon arrival. I am not supposed to eat fries as of this year but the fries are to die for (which, apparently, would be literally in my case)! The dogs come with a huge amount of raw onions, mustard and relish--really flavourful.

We've been coming here for 40+ years. A few years ago they changed up the fries and burgers and it wasn't a good idea. Thankfully they've switched back and everything is how I remember it. Cheese burger with the works was great, they come with fried onions.

A large fry is good for two people and the milkshakes are nice and thick.

Preface: first time coming here

We walked up at 7:50 and was greeted by two smiling faces (see why this is awesome later). We ordered 2 cheeseburgers and a large fries. Paid and went back to the car to wait. While in the car we looked to see what time they were open until because we weren't sure if they closed at 8pm(googlemaps) or 9pm(applemaps) ... when we looked at the sign in the window, to our horror they closed in 6mins. Both the person I was with and myself have worked in kitchens for the better part of our lives and we are now the people we have hated for all these years. Sorry for coming so close to you guys being closed 😬. Thank you 🥰

Double Cheeseburger: 9.5/10 best burger I've paid for in over five years.
Fries: The only way they could possibly be better is if they were home cut.
Staff: absolutely awesome!

Favourite burger stand in the Lockport area! Fried onions are a FANTASTIC addition to any burger. Close to the Red River, for a great sight-seeing adventure.

I love this place!! All the burgers are fantastic and so is the meat quality! I was so happy they have a new guy at the front doing the orders he’s so friendly, bubbly and happy. That’s what you want to see in customer service. Great choice to put him in the front line

A regular family experience that we all look forward to our visits to Lockport and Sonia's. Even on the way to the lake, no one ever argues about grabbing a burger, onion rings, fries, and/or a milkshake from Sonia's!

What's not to LOVE about Sonia's..
Fast service...love the hot dog with fried onions..
Always friendly..
Picnic tables out back to sit at..easy access...straight down Henderson highway. A great Sunday drive..
I prefer going here over the Half Moon or Skinner's..

It was my first time here and so happy we went. Great selection, and the food is very tasty. The onion rings were perfection! Will definitely be back!!
