Half Moon Drive In

I had a great time at this restaurant! The fries were some of the best I've ever had, and the hotdogs were also very good. The restaurant has a very retro design, which I really liked. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good meal in a fun atmosphere.

Very iconic! Will be back to try a burger! 🍔 and more ice cream 😋 my son LOVED it.

We love the classic diner atmosphere, and now that we have a couple toddlers, we really appreciate the arcade and ice cream. Great staff and service!

Authentic 50s style drive in with great food and big portions.

Best poutine I have had in YEARS. Tons of icecream flavours to choose from.
I only rated atmosphere low because it was very very loud and busy, which is amazing for them but super overwhelming for my young son with sensory issues and anxiety. We will have to come back during a week day to see if it's a bit more comfortable for him.

One of the most unique restaurants in Manitoba. Classic drive in, feels like you’re walking through a Time Machine into the past. Amazing, friendly staff who always go above and beyond for me and my allergies. Owner gave me a bunch of samples of their oat ice cream when they were trying it out. It was awesome to switch things up from the usual dole whip I get there, but the dole whip is also 10/10! Tastes just like Disney. Worth the drive just for the curly fries and onion rings too!

I've gone here a few times in the summer. Good ice cream and cool arcade games here like Skinner's. Haven't had the fries though. Workers and nice and looks cool inside.

Decided to give this place a try. I'm normally not one for hot dogs, but this place did it right!

Went on a nice day ride out to Half Moon Drive In and had a delicious Moon Dog and a pralines n cream ice cream cone. There was a good crowd but was still able to get a good seat. Looking forward to my next trip there.

My dad used to take me here in 1959 best footlong hot dog ever, exceptionally good tasting wieners.

Flashback to the days of drive-in diners and ice cream dreams :) Classic decor inside and lots of tables and tents outside for enjoying the weather and views of the Red River.

i like old style cafe. Nice place. better than McDonald's. i like kid's menu.

Enjoyed the Moon Dog and the best Poutine since I moved back home to Winnipeg from Montreal.

Favourite Manitoba Drive In with a scenic drive up Henderson or through Lockport if coming from the Main side. Love the classic drive in decor and art. Delicious burgers, chicken burgers, and fries. You have to try the Works, Fries topped with Spicy Chili, chives, bacon, cheese, and sour cream! Nice treat and drive to make every few months!

Half Moon Welcomed car enthusiasts to use their multiple lots for a car meet. It was a very eventful and overall enjoyable time. The chili fries were a huge plus!

Took visiting friends from Germany to Lockport to check out the dam and wildlife. Stopped for dinner at Half Moon and had a variety of items including bacon cheese dog, chicken burger, Beyond Meat veggie burger, onion rings, curly fries and an ice cream Slurpee. The best part was definitely the ice cream Slurpee. The food is all standard burger and fries fare. The ice cream selection is very good. The Slurpee ice cream was such a good combo. Must try. Attaching pics of the impromptu Ford Mustang gathering that was happening while we were there. Fun place to visit on a beautiful night. Their new addition is very nice...great job updating the restaurant and still keeping the original charm.
