This was a nice quaint place to eat. We had lunch here. The waitress was so friendly! We enjoyed eating a chicken pear sandwich and the Banger and mash platter both served with PEI mashed potatoes. The bread/roll for the sandwich was amazing. The only odd thing we couldn’t figure out was the pork n beans served with the sausage platter. We thought there was something special about the beans when the waitress offered them, but it was just plain pork and beans lol 😂 try the island cider…it was so good !

Always great pub food. Some of the best curries around. Burger is great. Fish and chips are really good and very large, one piece is often more than enough for many people. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Due to its size, it can be difficult to get a seat during busy hours. It is worth the wait though.

It was SO good! We had the curry sampler, and each one was delicious, though my favorite was the Korma. We ended up ordering extra to take home! My girlfriend had the clubhouse sandwhich, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The staff was super friendly and patient as we tried to figure out what we wanted. They were also helpful in answering all questions. Overall, it was a great experience, and we love the pub itself and all its charm.

Definitely suggested, especially if you are new to trying curry as I found none of them were too hard to handle spice wise. (Korma was not at all spicy).

Great comfort food spot in the heart of downtown. Perfect if you just want to drop in for a drink on their patio in the summer! They always have some local options on their beverage menu.

They have plenty of British dishes to choose from, and generally have a small summer menu for specials if that's what you're looking for.

Prices are a bit higher but the portions reflect this, you won't leave hungry.

A friend took me here for lunch. I had curried fries and they were delicious. My friend had curried chicken and rice. Waitress was amazing and we made sure to leave a decent tip. This was my first visit and I will definitely be back.

Stopped in here this week as we picked a random restaurant and we were not expecting to enjoy the food and service this much.

We had the curry sharing platter and the lunch side Tikka Masala. The portions were big, taste was authentic and when I'm back in PEI, I'll be going back because the burgers smelled and looked phenomenal.

Our server also went above and beyond with his recommendations and service.

If you're looking for a quaint restaurant with great food and service, definitely come here!

Very friendly and really good food at great prices. Traditional British pub fare (both English and Indian). Cozy and the staff can't help but put a smile on your face. Loved the butter chicken and steak sandwiches. The fish and chips also looked really good. Cheers!

Could smell the curry as we walked by. They have a nice selection of traditional British curry dishes. Had the Curry chicken and chips, very tasty with just a little heat. The chips are cut in the kitchen from PEI potatoes. Wife had the squeak and bubble, very traditional taste.

This is a must_stop spot. The best fish and chips, I've ever had! Homemade curries, British favorites, so good that we went back two nights In a row!

Still on our "must stop here" list every time we are in Charlottetown. Tonight we tried a summer special Chicken Tikka Nachos (definitely on point) and of course we had to have the Fish n Chips!

Out of this world!

The fish and chips are second to none. The homemade korma curry is off the chain.

If you put a spoonful of this korma on top of your head, your tongue would beat your brains out to get to it!

The chicken tikka nachos were on point.

Food was great, as someone who eats a lot it was filling. Prices were fair for the portion sizes.

I got the curry quisadias (pardon my spelling) and it was extremely good. Other members of my party got fish and chips and the club sandwich respectively and both of which were very positively reviewed. The size of fish for the fish and chips was very good.

The service was extremely good and kind. We had a dog with us and the patio wasn't really in use but they were more than happy to accommodate us.

Overall I have nothing but good things to say and I would recommend this place heavily.

Service was exceptional. The bar staff are amazingly friendly and inviting. The selection of local brewed beer is awesome. Didn't have any food but the menu looked great. Having grown up in the UK I can attest to the authenticity of the ambience in this pub. I loved it.

Great, friendly attentive staff. Whether you’re in for drinks or a full on meal, it doesn’t matter. Their fish and chips is the standard by which all others in town should be measured. Steak and Guinness pie is excellent. Outdoor patio available. This place gets busy and rightfully so. Nice selection of craft beers. Street parking. Recommended.

Cool place, though snug (seats maybe 35?).
Very friendly staff (Fran was very helpful to the out-of-townie).
Good place to go to watch soccer (and rugby, I'm told). Apparently they were giving out tickets during the World Cup!
Good food, big portions - I recommend the steak & kidney pie.
And they had cider :-)

Churchill Arms is a MUST stop every trip to the Island. The korma is my fave but all of their dishes are good. I have asked they open a second location in Halifax as I dream of korma...

*UPDATED REVIEW, 1 YEAR LATER*
Still a must to stop here. Ate here both Friday and Saturday night during a girls weekend to PEI. Friday night I ordered coffee prior to my meal and had to ask for it a second time as my friends had already finished their ciders. Server brought it and it was the worst cup of coffee ever. I told the server and she offered to take it off my bill and I advised her I would be bCk on Saturday and we could sort it then. Came back Saturday and same server greeted us and said: you're back!
Sadly we had a different server actually wait our table and no mention of the dish pan water coffee was brought to her attention. I didnt bring it up, and I should have but was annoyed the first server didn't bother herself.
Food here is AMAZING but I was disappointed by the service and awful coffee this trip.

Some of the best curry I’ve ever had… get the Korma. And if you can’t decide, get the sampler for all three. Waitress super kind and helpful.
