Black & White Convenience

Just a couple of blocks from the expensive and trendy restaurant at Charlottetown Marina, here sits Black & White Convenience, a family operated restaurant/ Convenience Store/ Laundrymat on Hillsborough Street.

Middle Eastern and other popular dishes at reasonable prices. A few counter seats inside and two picnic tables outside of you decide to eat on location.

We had a cheeseburger plate (came with fries) and a falafel wrap plus small fries. Cheeseburger and the falafel wrap were tasty, however Falafel would have been better if they were served hot. Fries were seasoned and freshly fried and were hot and crisp!

This place is a HIDDEN GEM!! Prices are crazy (so cheap!) and servings are generous. The owner is lovely and really wants to please all of his customers.
Some may not be able to get past the fact that this is a diner, convenience store, and laundromat all in one...and yes, the food is served on paper plates with plastic utensils...but for those that can see past that, black and white is definitely worth checking out. I bet it'll soon be featured on a food network show about hidden gems / hole in the wall places that are amazing. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Their food is delicious, very reasonably priced and their staff is friendly and kind. An island gem. I recommend the burgers, the shawarma, the falafel, the brekky… ok, probably everything they make.

Added tidbit: my brother has extremely high standards when it comes to burgers and will not order just any restaurant burger. He swears by the burgers at B&W. We have often ordered burger platters and have never once been disappointed. Very tasty, fresh burgers. Try it if you haven’t yet!

Good vibes. Nice staff. Delicious restaurant, perfectly seasoned chicken shawarma. Pretty decor. Incredibly convenient. Thoroughly enjoyed my first scallop burger. Had great experiences here.

A convenience store with great food! They have breakfasts , bugers, sandwiches, and also great mideastern food.

I had a chicken schwarma, and my wife had "The Mediterranean" (kabob, salad, hummus) and also a side of rice (her meal included rice, fries, or salad). Everything was outstanding ,delicious! The side of rice had big chunks of beef in it, it was a meal in itself.

This place is a great find, needs to be promoted more! It's listed as a convenience store on maps but its take out food is amazing. This place has the best falafel in the city hands down! I can't wait to go back and try some more of the Mediterranean menu. Everyone that worked there were super friendly and helpful, this place should be the top of the list to grab some take out from!

Used to go here just about every day for a burger. They're great! I also used to buy a lot of grapefruit juice at B&Ws, and one time the woman at the cashier said my pee must smell great. Kinda weird. But I kinda liked it. 5 stars.

First best burger on the island, second service is always friendly and helpful. Lots of useful convenient items in store and the rest of the diner menu is also great. Not enough good words to be said about this place

One of the best burgers I’ve ever had, if you’re in the area it’s a must, even if you’re not in the area, make the trip and enjoy the delicious food and wonderful service.
