The Fat Duck Gastro Pub

Love this place, has absolutely some of the best food in Guelph under the guise of pub fare. The curry chicken pie is a long standing item, and for good reason - so damn good! Choose the bar side for a pint or more casual dining experience, great patio in the warmer months. Excellent service with some of the finest bartenders around.

Fat Duck is a great neighborhood pub. Always busy on sports or events days. If you watch soccer or NFL this is a great spot. New menu is great and between classic pub dishes and some new ones like the Korean Noodle Bowl or Duck stroganoff, much improved overall. If you are looking for a pub with a classic feel and good atmosphere and good people, The Duck is where it's at.

English style pub with split between bar area and dining area. This spot is excellent for all types. You can bring your family here or come for a pint with your friends. Great spot to watch a sports game too if that's your jam!

Friday night Live music is great. Good beer selection. Everything on the menu is excellent. The chicken wings are the best in the world, no joke. They have some unique flavours too. The Hot Butter and the Vindaloo are a must try.

I was so impressed with The Fat Duck! My husband and I went for dinner this evening. I got the steak and mushroom pie (pictured) and my husband had the Sunday roast. My steak and mushroom pie was literally incredible. The inside had been cooked perfectly (especially the steak… it melted in my mouth). The ingredients were SO well balanced. Homemade puff pastry was fluffy, light and not soggy. The fries were also super tasty. They came out hot and crispy, seasoned perfectly with salt and pepper and I could not stop eating them, even when I was about to burst. The service and atmosphere were also 10/10. Safe to say, we will definitely be back and look forward to tasting more from the menu!

We had a dine in meal here and the food and staff were excellent!

The restaurant took all of the proper Covid precautions with Masks being mandatory while not seated and I also noticed some plexiglass between the tables.

That said the service was great and our waitress was informative with the specials and other menu items.

We didn't order any mains but the appetizers were delicious. Especially the Crisps which are a must have if you come here.

We had a fantastic meal!
3 of us shared a bowl of mussels and a bottle of wine. We all got one of the special, the elk burger. It was flavourful, lean, and juicy. I can't believe I've never been here before. I'm definitely coming back.

Enjoy their trivia nights on Sundays, food is top notch and the servers are always kind. Perfect place to watch a game as well

Amazing, best wings I've had, big and meaty with nicely flavoured sauces with just the right amount of sauce, not swimming in it, not skimping, just right proper saucy wings. Crisp outside, tender inside. 5 star for sure.

Neighborhood Gastro Pub in Guelph CA. Irish pub atmosphere. Menu is not super long, but what is there is different from what is usual pub faire. There are some Indian curry dishes. Some Mexican Nachos dishes. And Irish dishes. I had the bangers and mash. Excellent, creamy mash potatoes, two large sausage links, and roast carrots. I have had this dish in other restaurants but this was the best. Full bar drink menu all the usual liquors. On tap beers, not huge selection but some I had not heard of. Overall nice experience.

The best pub food I have ever had. A combination of flavours and well made food that you won’t experience at other pubs or even specific restaurants. Try anything. It will be made with love, care and expertise.

A really great pub. I have not been there for quite a while be came to see the soccer match and some beers. The staff were excellent, food is good pub food (and would have got a 5 start but TBH it is not gourmet, just darn great). I will definately return and highly recommend it to people looking for a pub night.
They have great daily specials on drinks and food.

Try the chicken curry pie! Extra sauce on the side! Pours a nice Guinness. Always a good atmosphere - playing football, rugby, etc

I don’t usually take the time out to write a review like this but I feel like last night makes it worthwhile.
We had made reservations as a celebration of life of sorts for my late friends birthday. It had been just over a year since his passing. This was one of his favourite pubs in Guelph, and we came here often on Tuesdays for wings and a couple pints.
Our server Chelsea (like the football team) offered a lovely experience, genuine banter, and was the best server experience I’ve had in a while.I hope this review finds her so she knows she went above and beyond for us and our late friend Ben. Thanks Chelsea.

Great pub atmosphere, with amazing, tasty food in great portions all served with friendly, cheerful knowledgeable staff. The mozzarella stocks were By Far the largest I ever had, and the warmed marinara sauce added to the deliciousness. The curry was delicious and the roasted chicken salad is a meal on its own. So good!!!

This place is WOW for wings. Had heard a lot about it and went there to pick some up. Picked the hot butter and sweet chilli jumbo wings on their Tuesday deal. The hot butter was heaven just right on the spice. The sweet chilli was a common flavor. The good part was I was not soaked in sauce but had enough to impart flavor. Couldn't stop eating them!!!! Def recommended

Really amazing Wings. Probably the best I have had so far. Looking forward to trying something else next time. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Went to this establishment last night with my friends. Hands down the best customer service I’ve experienced at any pub. The management and workers treated us like family and the food and refreshments were amazing. Will 100% be returning and I recommend anyone who lives in Guelph or who is travelling to Guelph to come here for a night out, lunch or dinner or to watch a game!
