Brantford West Medical Centre

I want to start off by saying that I have been coming to this clinic for 5 years. I had a hard time finding a family doctor for my family and myself, after moving from the GTA to Paris.

My experience coming in as a walk-in patient, and for appointments to see my family doctor (Dr. Hussien) have been great. The staff are professional, respectful and polite. Most importantly Dr. Hussien, has been very patient, and caring. He truly cares about his patients and listens to them. He does not rush us out, and sincerely takes his time. He is very patient with my children, and explains what he’s checking/doing.

My son has been coming to Dr. Hussien’s since he was born. I was impressed by Dr Hussien’s quick actions to noticing my infant son could be experiencing jaundice. He referred us to McMaster instantly, without having to wait, or go through emergency. Luckily my son was ok. I’m so happy with how Dr. Hussien takes the health of my family, and myself seriously.

To be realistic it is a very busy clinic, as they have patients from Paris, Brantford, and other surrounding areas, as walk in, and family doctor appointments.

The receptionist can only do so much, they work hard and are so kind, especially with little children visiting. Speaking to other comments on here that speak about no answered calls, and rude receptionist— this can be perceived upon own beliefs, and perception of what is rude. The clinic is very busy. They can not possibly answer all calls, while taking in patients. I have seen the same receptionist since 2019-20 she has always been the sweetest.

We are grateful for finding Dr. Hussien, and having him as our doctor.

The ladies that work at the clinic are so lovely. They are kind, helpful, and compassionate and always looking out for the patients. Dr. Salman is very caring, patient, and authenticly interested in his patients, along with being understanding and working quickly but carefully always.

My wife has had great experiences with Dr Hussien! Waiting is expected as its a WALK IN CLINIC. The people who complain about that should think about this. Keep up the great work team!

Came here today, all the way from London, ON. I saw Dr. Hussein who promptly identified I was on the wrong antibiotics for my sinus infection, and got me the right meds! Wait time was under 30 min, and the staff is friendly and nice!

All other clinics refuse to take walk-in patients even 2 hrs before close! Other clinics said they would take patients before 1pm, and when I got there 20 min before 1 they refused to take me.

Not this clinic! This is a wonderful doctor who believes in prompt and effective medical care. I would happily drive from London to Brantford for this doctor and his clinic! 5 stars is not enough !

The staff and doctors here are extremely pleasant and professional, I had great experience with both doctors at this clinic but my family doctor dr bashar is the best family doctor I have ever had, he is professional, amazing at his job and extremely educated and compassionate. I moved to brantford with my family recently and he immediately accepted me and my entire family (wife, son) as patients and I have personally been dealing with serious chronic pain for a long time but never did any doctor REALLY take my pain seriously and usually prescribed me useless medications and brushed me off, but not here and definitely not dr bashar, he immediately examined me extensively and ordered many important scans right away, and from the first try prescribed me something that worked right away and then continued to do everything to help me, and takes great care of all my family medical needs, and he is great with babies, he gave my baby all his vaccines so far and my baby usually barley feels them. I have had bad experiences with doctors for years and years but not here in this clinic and definitely dr bashar is amazing. I am glad and lucky to have such a great doctor at a great clinic.

This is the second time I have been to this clinic. Receptionist is always very friendly and are very well organized. I was in to see the Doctor within 20 minutes and was out with a prescription just a few minutes later. Very efficient and organized and friendly A good experience again and I made sure to let them all know. Thank you snd if needed again this is where I will go

I needed to see a Dr. today, I don't go to walk-in clinics, too crowded, too many sicknesses to share, too long a wait, people can be frustrated and rude. Today I had no choice so went to this clinic. The two girls at the desk were warm and friendly. They registered me then asked me to return in 45 minutes because Dr. was on lunch break, she was outside looking for me and another patient when I returned ,so cheery. The clinic was so clean in appearance wide open and I listened as the staff kindly spoke to others and directed them to examining rooms. the Doctor was pleasant and professional. What a surprise in this crazy sick world

My family has been with Dr. Hussein since shortly after the clinic opened. We have received excellent care and follow up, including throughout the pandemic. He and his staff have been professional, timely and proactive in ensuring that myself and family received appropriate care. He is also careful to seek advice or referrals to colleagues for more complex medical issues, as needed. Furthermore when he is not available, I've always been able to see another doctor through the walk in clinic.

A Shout Out to Dr Hussein and Dr Salman- Our community is blessed to have such competent doctors- I am grateful for them both- especially throughout these Covid years- they have been amazing. The very busy front desk staff are their front line and I have seen them have to deal with a lot with it also being a walk-in clinic (a convenience that I love)- they always do the best they can (within reason) to help you out.

Dr Salman has been my family Dr for 2 years now after shellington place refused to help me I am thankful everyday I found him he has been so supportive of my mental health getting me referrals and always suggest natural remedies Aswell he has gone above and beyond for me many times in the past two years I am grateful for him. The reception staff is nice and reassuring it is a bit hard to get through to them on the phone but they do their best with having a walkin clinic and a family doctor Aswell as a pharmacy in here. Thankyou for the Dr's and reception staff and nurses at this facility you're making a difference ❤

5++++ We highly recommend this clinic. The front line staff are very courteous, willing to help and the Doctors that have treated us, Dr. Bashar Salman, Dr.Bann and Dr. Hussein are knowledgeable and caring. We have received treatment within an hour and if they can't treat a specific medical issue, they will refer you to ER. We were very impressed with their professionalism and compassion. Thank you for taking good care of us.

The last time I was there they treated me with so much respect and dignity! I'm grateful they are open close to me! I couldn't ask for better service and anyone who has bad things to say , well sorry for you! The receptionist was awesome and the Dr took the time to address my concerns! I definitely will be going back! These people know their business and I don't think that one bad experience that someone else had will ever change how I feel about this Dr and the clinic! I give them 5 stars! :)

Such a great place! The ladies at the desk are super nice! I switched over to Dr. Salman here and discovered that he is a very efficient and knowledgeable doctor. It's a very clean environment and overall a very trusting clinic. There is never a wait time unless you go during busy hours but even then, you'll wait about 10 minutes and the doctors will always pay close attention to your concerns and never rush you out. But, they never answer the god damn phone! I understand they're super busy so you usually have to go in if you want to book an appointment for a future date which really isn't a big inconvenience. This place is truly great and I'm very particular in which clinic/doctors I can trust!!

The clinic was clean, the doctor and staff were friendly and polite. There was plenty of parking and the line up to get in was less than 2 hours. All in all a great walk in clinic I'm Brantford Ontario.

Front desk staff and doctor are always SO kind and happy. I come here when I need urgent care and never have had to wait over an hour to be in and out unlike the Willet in Paris. Super great place with clean and modern furniture. Oml thing is the people that come in are sometimes a little odd but it’s Brantford, what can you expect.

Went twice for my toddler son on weekend. Very good experience. I have a family doctor too but my son was very sick with runny nose and cough so Friday evening we took him to walk in. Doctor looked at my son in 15 minutes. Gave antibiotic. But it was bit bitter, my son was not taking it, we went next day again and another doctor was more than happy to change the antibiotic to a sweet flavored one after a second check up. We again got in just in 10 minutes. I had horrible experience at the Emergency of Brantford General, they wont look at you even after 4 or 5 hours unless they feel its life threatening. You feel more sick and emotional waiting there.(Its not totally their fault, until recently we didnt have walk-in clinics in Brantford, so there were too many waiting at the Brantford General and they have to prioritize) This West Brant walk-in is a ray of great hope for people like me with little kids who get sick often. They are open everyday. Pharmacy in that location is good too, they are polite and they said they were giving me couple of dollars discount. My only fear is this place gets too crowded due to all the good reviews and we have to wait for hours in line!!. Thanks to the team of doctors.

I just had my first visit to this clinic and I am so impressed!! Even with 5 people ahead of me, I was out of there (with medication) in less than an hour. Everyone I dealt with were so friendly and caring - the nurse at the Registration desk, Dr. Abdelhussein and the staff at the Pharmacy. I hope I never have to come back again, but if I do at least I know I'm in good hands!!

Dr. Hussein is the best doctor I have ever seen. He takes his own interest to go above and beyond to help his patients.
