DogPlay - Doggy Daycare, Boarding & Grooming

We recently tried DogPlay after trying a few other doggy daycares, and are thrilled to say we've found our place! We couldn't tell if our dog was enjoying her time at the other daycares, but the staff actually got to know our dog and really helped her feel at home. It has been the only daycare where the team actually tries to understand what makes her happy and comfortable and we feel great knowing she is in their care during the day! We love Dog Play! Our dog is usually reactive to other dogs, but (incredibly) has been able to play and engage with the group at Dog Play. The trainers and staff are wonderful, and give her all the attention and care we could hope for. Highly recommend Dog Play for both daycare and overnight boarding!

My pup has been with DogPlay since 2016. The facilities are clean and spacious and the dogs can play hard but also have time to rest. There is ample space for alone time and the freedom to walk about, sprint and play when the spirit strikes.

We've gone to daycare many times, and have also tried boarding and grooming, and all their services are first-class.

It's pretty clear that Darryl and all the staff are true animal lovers. At the end of the day, the stories they tell me of my dog's antics are priceless.

If the time comes when you need to board your pup, it pays off to go to daycare enough times so your dog creates a trusting relationship with the handlers. Come time for boarding, it will be a cinch.

Our puppy loves Dogplay, she cannot wait to get to day care. She has been going here for over a month now and she loves it. The staff is amazing and thank you guys for taking care of our little girl.

I cannot say enough great things about DogPlay. I’ve brought my dog there for daycare, boarding and grooming - all of which we’ve had amazing experiences doing. My dog gets very excited when we go, so we know he loves it. The staff are always very happy, positive and accommodating and always love seeing my pup!

I love DogPlay. We've been going there for more than 2 years and I don't trust my dog with anyone else. She is so excited every time I drop her off, that she can barely sit still while waiting in the reception area. I so appreciate the regular updates on Instagram as well - I get to see what my pup is up to and how she plays with other dogs throughout the day.

Dogplay is phenomenal! Can’t say enough good things about all of their services. Our Saint Bernard Daisy has been going to daycare and boarding with them for several years and every day spent with them is great. The staff is beyond friendly, helpful and accommodating! Their facilities and customer service are fantastic! Daisy can’t wait to run into their doors and comes home happy and well-stimulated. Highly recommend Dogplay to anyone who is looking for a second home/family for their dog!

Penny and I absolutely LOVE Dog Play! They were recommended to me by a neighbor and I will be forever grateful that we were able to find such a great place that I can 100% trust with my baby. I love that the staff truly love dogs and that they interact with them constantly whether it be cuddles and pets, playing or training games. I also was very pleasantly surprised at how well they knew Penny after only one visit and continue to give me updates on how her day went and how she is progressing every time I pick her up. Lastly, I really appreciate the photo and video updates throughout the day via their IG account. Cannot say enough good things, best doggie daycare there is!

I recently boarded my dog Cody due to a family emergency. The boarding was unplanned and basically a daycare event became a 7 day stay. DogPlay were incredibly helpful and kind, supplied the dog food and accommodated several extensions to Cody's stay without issue. Cody was in good spirits and bathed when I picked him up. We couldn't have managed without DogPlay's help and we are incredibly grateful that they managed the unplanned event with such professionalism and kindness.

My labradoodle has been going to Dogplay twice a week for almost 2 years. I brought her so she can socialize with other dogs in an environment where she will also receive some training. The handlers are very caring and they get to know the dogs under their care quite well. I appreciate the feedback they give me about my dog. They twice noticed something was not right with her and brought it to my attention. They endeavour to collaborate with us for our dog’s good.
We have also boarded her for a few days and she seemed quite happy when she was picked up. The facilities are clean as my dog does not smell whenever we pick her up.
I highly recommend this place, especially if you live on the southwest side of Vancouver. This place would be perfect if the facilities could accommodate the dogs to play outside. Having said that the new indoor facility is large enough to allow for great play!

My dog Freckles has been going to DogPlay for the last 5 years, ever since she was a puppy. She's a very sweet but anxious dog, especially with new people, and the staff have always been so accommodating with her. I know she is in great hands anytime she is there for daycare, boarding or grooming. My interactions with the staff have always been really positive. I can't thank them enough for their care of Freckles over the years.

Alexis is an amazing senior groomer. We are so lucky to have found her. Our corgi got majorly traumatized and hurt at The Groom Room and Alexis single-handedly got our dog excited about nail trims again. Her patience, enthusiasm and expertise is unparalleled and she goes above and beyond in her care for our dog. It's a sign when our dog is excited about going to Dog play and seeing her.
Our dog also attended their puppy program/class when he was younger and we can't rave enough about the staff, the knowledge and the space. Thank you SO MUCH Dog Play!

My dog, Nico, loves DogPlay! At first, he used to be nervous to go but now he rushes to run in! The staff are very nice and professional. They made me feel comfortable with leaving Nico with them and have worked to make him feel less anxious and more confident! We would definitely recommend them!

DogPlay daycare is absolutely fantastic! I couldn't be happier with the care and attention they provide for my high energy dog, Django. I have never reviewed a business before, but my experience with Dogplay was so wonderful that I felt moved to share. I had to board my 10 month old pup Tigi for the first time, and I was worried. He is a rescue, and although he has been living with us since he was 3 months old, he has pretty bad separation anxiety. I brought him in for daycare at Dogplay a few times, and he LOVED it--always so eager to get in the door and play with the other dogs. At pickup time he was always happy and relaxed, and the handlers gave me detailed information about his day. I have the impression that they genuinely like their jobs, love dogs, and are skilled as dog trainers, which has not been the case at other dog daycares I have tried. The day arrived when Tigi had to stay overnight for a few days. Apparently he was a little vocal the first night when he couldn't be next to the handler, but the handler let him stay near. And then Tigi got the hang of it by learning from the other dogs. I actually think that Dogplay is helping him get over his anxiety. It provides positive socialization for the dogs, as they learn from each other. Dogplay took really good care of Tigi, and when I picked him up after 5 days, he was happy and calm, and had even worked on his manners, like sitting before he goes through a door inside/outside. I could not recommend Dogplay more highly. Thank you!

Awesome experience as the groomer there is unbelievable. Alexis is very patient, explains what she can and she cannot do (i.e. make my Terrier look like a Burmese mountain dog), and dealt with my Biewer Terrier who is not easy to groom, especially around the face, and by the second appointment she had already built a rapport with him. Each visit he trusts her a bit more and is now beginning to trust her and allow her to take off a bit more. Almost there, puppy steps 😉

We were nervous to bring our dog in for his first groom as he can be quite anxious in new environments but Alexis was amazing and we are so happy we found this place!

The staff are very friendly, accommodating and really take the time to understand your dog. They do everything to make it a safe place for your pet. They share videos of how your dog is fitting in on their initial visits.

My Cosmo absolutely loves this place. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I can tell that they genuinely care about Cosmo and always make sure that he is well taken care of during his stay. Highly recommend for dog owners.

Sadie loves going to Dogplay. She comes home tired. Sadie has boarded at Dogplay a few times and has been ok being away from home. I really appreciate the staff at Dogplay, they are professional and very accommodating. I highly recommend Dogplay for your dog's daycare and boarding.
