Shadow Lawn Inn

We really loved this stop. We weren’t able to be part of dinner with them and I would Try to eat dinner here if there is room. We also had a lovely, Simple and wonderful breakfast. Beautiful location in a mostly residential area, it seems. Our bed was comfy. The room was not overly large but nice. Good natural light. There is a pump system for toilet and water movement as it’s an old building. Minor personal drama: I’d have loved some flat surface in the bath to set things ( it is always something I wish for).

Tracy and Martin have taken on the large and exceptional property. It is prized by locals. If St. John is on your radar -choose this spot for your base.

Easy to give this place top marks, decor is elegant and understated but it's the food you should focus on. Tight but well balanced menu well cooked; polite informed staff, wide range of wines and as far as I could see not a bad 'un on it. Looks like the sommelier knows what they're about.

Expect to pay around $100 including tax and gratuity but really worth it

This was an amazing place to stay. The owners are friendly and helpful, the food is divine, and the rooms are super comfortable. The wonderful person who checked us in was personable too! Also when our plane was cancelled Martin helped us in thinking of other ways to come back to Ontario which was above and beyond. We were both able to work in our room and take meetings with no difficulty as well

I would highly recommend shadow lawn inn and when we return we will probably be here again

I have driven by the Shadow Lawn so many times as a kid. I always wanted to go in but never have. We just moved back to the area after being in Alberta for 18 years. We booked a night stay in room 9 and a dinner. Wow wow wow they did not disappoint. The room was so nice spacious and comfortable. Loved having the corner tub for two. Dinner was a 5 course meal. There were things I would never have ordered on a normal night out but it was delicious. So impressed with the dinner. Also came with breakfast. We thought it was gonna be something simple but we’re blowing away again by how good breakfast was.
Definitely a place we will be coming back to you again. Highly recommend this place

We had booked at another hotel and it just didn’t work out. This place set us up last minute and I think all the planets aligned for us. The room is perfect; food is amazing; desert -amazing. Owners are so kind and welcoming. #noregrets. #thisisjustright

We recently stayed at Shadow Lawn while working on a wedding as the event planner. We had a wonderful experience. The property was absolutely gorgeous, inside and out, and their staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating! Our room was spacious, had comfy beds, an AC unit (thank goodness due to the heat wave during our stay), and was very clean! It was a pleasure staying here, and we will certainly stay here again next time we are in the area.

We attended a wedding and stayed at the Inn. Rooms are beautiful, well appointed, comfy beds and linens, food at the reception was amazing and the continental breakfast was delicious! This is a beautiful spot for a wedding or a weekend get away, close to so many places! Their restaurant is one of the best!

Had an amazing event at shadow lawn. The owner was so nice and helped with everything. The staff were amazing. My first time there even though I live nearby. The guest rooms are beautiful and clean with modern amenities. Food was hot and great. Would give 6 stars if I could.

Went to the Robertson restaurant for my partner’s birthday dinner, and we had a great time. The food was delicious and our server was great! We will definitely return.

My boyfriend and I had dinner for our birthdays and we could not be happier. Shinta, our hostess was phenomenal! 10/10 to her, she is fantastic! The food was to die for and the entire experience was the best we have had in a long time. Kudos to the entire staff, thank you for a memorable celebration. Magnificent, old building with more character and charm than you'd expect. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and pleasant. The room was well appointed, quiet and beautiful. I had breakfast that much like my overall experience, wildly exceeded my expectations in every way.

We were the fortunate recipients of the gift of a three course dinner to celebrate my birthday. Dinner was delivered to our home and each course was absolutely delicious. This restaurant excels in gourmet quality and never fails to impress.

Delicious 3 course Valentine's dinner. All courses were beautifully presented and top notch in taste. Servers were attentive without being intrusive.

Ordered a gift card for my grandfather the other day and spoke to the owner. He was lovely and dropped it off at his place that afternoon.
Its a beautiful place with excellent service and great food.

Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. Most recently went for Mother's Day. Everything on the menu was delicious (we were a large enough group that all items on the fixed menu were ordered by at least one person). Staff was, as they always are, very professional, friendly, and helpful.

The meal was excellent, and the wait staff very pleasant and attentive. Could not have been better. This establishment never fails to impress each time we visit. Difficult to leave!
