I had a wonderful experience yesterday at River and Trail. I got lots of help from two wonderful women, kitting myself out for a trip--they were so helpful! I feel secure and ready for anything now!

Great store with a wide selection of outdoor apparel and equipment for whatever your interest might be. Solid selection of footwear as well and some decent sales from time to time. Friendly, helpful staff and certainly not overbearing. Purchased a nice mid-layer jacket here and it's nice to shop local whenever possible. This is a wonderful store to have in the community. Decent hours and website is helpful.

If you are passionate of being active participating into different outdoor activities in mother nature. This is the store you have to visit, compared with other store such as Sportschek, employees here are very knowledgeable for different outdoor activities and are able to provides you great recommend for what you should get. Overall, my wife and I love this store so much.

I love this place. If you need anything to do with hiking or surviving outdoors ,this is the place. The staff were pleasant and informative. They definitely live the life. Can't wait to get another pair of hiking shoes.

Friendly helpful staff.We love shopping and browsing in this store. Fantastic selection of out door footware. (Most common sizes. Go to Radical Edge in Fredericton for a similar selection in larger ladies sizes.)

I was shopping for boots today in the city. I stopped by various retailers and found poor selection and very little sizes available. All of these retailers had extreemly poor customer service with long wait times.
I placed a call to River and Trail to see what they had in stock. They were busy and could bot answer my call, however promptly called me back even though I did not leave a message. The young man on the phone was very helpfull. We confirmend what I was looking for and said they do carry them, however did not have my size in stock.
Even though I did not make a purchase or even step into the store, I felt like and was treated like a valued customer.
More retailers need to have this level of customer service!

This is the best place for gear for any season. Knowledgeable and friendly service like no other.
Sean's Kids Ski program is great. Now my girls are properly fitted each season.
And I love the Sea to Summit camping gear. I can honestly say that I can carry everything I need for a multi-day kayak trip IN my kayak.

Pricey but good selection,good layout and great quality with super friendly and knowledgeable staff. If you have a chance check out their evening special guests for talks on local area hikes and camping. Awesome end of season sales.
