⭐A Must-Stop for Food, Souvenirs, Art, and More!⭐

If you're looking to get a "taste of St. John," you'd better visit the City Market. This covered market is a short walk from King's Square, and filled with an impressive variety of food, art, clothing, and vendors. You're certain to find a unique souvenir here, and enjoy a taste of everything from fresh fruit to fresh fish. Both Lebanese and Japanese cuisine can be savored here.

There are bathrooms for your convenience. The walkways can be a bit narrow during crowded times, but the hustle-and-bustle adds a excitement and energy to the experience. Don't miss it when you visit St. John!

Always find what I'm looking for at the Market. Makes buying food for daily meals easy. Plus the atmosphere of the City Market is different than a regular grocery store.

Nice place to shop with a variety of meats, veg, and breads to choose from. Picked up some bread, cheese, and olives, as well as a couple of unique offerings like donair sauce and marmelade starter. Everyone was polite, attentive, and helpful, resulting in a very favorable experience.

A fun place with many vendors. Grab some ingredients to cook at home, or get some prepared food from several restaurant vendors to eat in the outdoor seating area. Had great fried chicken from Chicken by Felix. Bought some whimsical art from Natasha Pilotte.

I just grabbed a kombucha...I ate before coming here which was my bad....everything looked delicious but I just browsed the merchandise.
Although I wish there wasn't a need for the Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women board, I think it's very helpful and more places should have one.

A beautiful historic building. Fabulous fresh produce, awesome looking meat at the butcher stalls, local artists selling their creations and great restaurants to pick up lunch. Plus seating on a covered patio.

Everything about food is here... I'm 80% sure that it's cheaper to buy fruits and veggies here... Many food outlets too like Korean and Japanese dishes are available for take away.

Visited this place on a saturday morning and spent some time here exploring the stalls. Got some souvenirs in one of the stores. The people manning the stalls were so cheerful and friendly.

A great permanent market in the downtown core. Had a nice time strolling through here a couple of times today. Will definitely be back. You can find all sorts of crafts, but also many varieties of food. Deli, Indian, Italian, Mediterranean, vegetarian and more. I had the baked ham sandwich from Jeremiah's. I'll be back. The staff there were exceptional. Can't wait to try other things there while I'm in town.

This is one of the oldest city markets in Canada. I had the opportunity to visit there while on a cruise excursion. I could have spent most of the day there. It is a collage a vendors with various kinds of merchandise. There was some beautiful artwork and creative handmade crafts. I purchased some handmade items for Christmas gifts from a woman that traveled from Prince Edward Island. There is a friendly and inviting vibe in the market.

I love the Saint John City Market especially around Christmas time. It has old fashioned in its very roots. The sights and smells. Fresh balsam fir boughs, wreaths, fresh seafood and meat, old historical favorite deli's and new coffee counters. Its a magical spot.

Fabulous. A historic market building AND a lively working market AND fresh coffee?!? I am in!! There was a good assortment of food and local and/or touristy items available. Being a cruise ship visitor I couldn’t buy any fresh food to take back with me but I certainly wanted to. I think my favorite thing was the dulse that they had for sale!!!
