I visited the market again for art supplies, they don’t have a whole lot but they have affordable imports from China and if you’re looking for an inexpensive sketch book or painting supplies, then try here! They have wonderful watercolour paper that I would love to try and it’s a great price. Other things include toys and lots of cheese and meat varieties that is local and imports. Give it a go if you are looking for something different. And of course, I had to buy a t shirt! Love to drop by when I’m visiting and see what’s new. Tons of little local shops along the strip and love looking at all of the niche stores in the area.

A delightful marketplace packed with delicious food, great staff, and a diverse bazaar of amazing wares all for surprisingly reasonable prices. I could not have anticipated such a great spot in this unassuming location. I haven't even mentioned yet how beautiful and cool the building is with its grassy moss roof and accompanying goats. The goats were munching the whole time so I could only get photos of their butts, but I almost love the pictures more for that reason.

Super cute place to visit while on the island. The market has a bit of everything. Lots of multicultural choices, a nice deli, an amazing bakery, treats, knick knacks, and even a place to eat Mexican food. The donut shop on the side was unbelievable. The freshest donuts I've ever had in my life.

Busy but a nice spot to stop for lunch or to grab some international snacks or your classic local. The burger, soup and poutine were good and seemed homemade.
The gift shop also has a large selection of gifts and souvenirs.
Yes, the goats are on the roof and they are eating off the grass!!

OUTSIDE, the draw are the goats on the grass-covered roof lazily munching away, ignoring all the tourists & others taking their photos on a sunny day in June. INSIDE, the even greater draw are the myriad of packaged goods, fresh meats, baked treats, and unique items (lots from Japan in the back) for sale. Plus there are abundant indoor chairs & tables where you can sit and enjoy your meals (they will deliver to your table after ordering from the counter). My touristy group of eight (8) spent about two hours here. BONUS: There are a few additional shops behind Old Country Market - think fresh produce, ice cream, a popular restaurant, and a huge grassy sloped hill where even more goats are lounging about in the shade. This is a must-stop, must-visit kind of place for locals and tourists alike.

We love this establishment. My kid has grown up looking forward to every trip out there. It was a great day on the island when the Old Country Market started serving doughnuts. Absolutely incredible.

Their customer service is always top-notch. They have new and interesting products, the ice cream is always delicious, and the goats, of course, are such a fun part of the trip.

This place is just on the road so it can be visited on the way to other places. The cute goats live on the roof and inside the building is a market with lots of different products (food, toys, candles… absolutely everything)

Whenever we're on Vancouver Island, we need to stop at "Goats on Roof". They always have something new to shop for. Their deli and bakery are amazing (please get the sausage rolls!), and the staff is so friendly and helpful. Their store is stocked with some great items we can't find anywhere else, including some great local cheeses. This place is always worth the trip, and a true highlight of our Island adventure!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review:
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Goats on the Roof, and I must say it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! This place truly exceeded all my expectations and left me with memories that will last a lifetime.

First of all, the concept of having goats on the roof is just brilliant! It's such a unique and fun idea that immediately piqued my curiosity. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by the sight of adorable goats happily roaming around on the rooftop. It was an incredible sight that instantly brought a smile to my face.

The staff at Goats on the Roof were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They were more than happy to share interesting facts about the goats and answer any questions I had. I could tell they genuinely cared for the animals and took great pride in providing an enjoyable experience for visitors.

The highlight of my visit was definitely the goat feeding experience. I had the opportunity to purchase some goat food and feed the goats myself. It was an absolute delight to interact with these friendly and playful creatures. The goats were well-trained and gentle, making the experience safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Aside from the goats, the attraction also offers a variety of other activities and shops. The gem mining activity was particularly entertaining, and I found some beautiful gems to take home as souvenirs. The store had a fantastic selection of local products, including unique crafts and delicious homemade fudge. I couldn't resist getting a few items to remember my visit by.

To top it all off, the location itself is stunning. Nestled amidst picturesque scenery, Goats on the Roof offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. It's the perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, and spend quality time with family and friends.

I cannot recommend Goats on the Roof highly enough. It's an absolute gem of an attraction that offers a one-of-a-kind experience for visitors of all ages. Whether you're a nature lover, an animal enthusiast, or simply looking for a fun and memorable outing, this place has it all. Absolutely love this. Shop. The service and variety is exceptional. Highly recommend you take a little pit, stop along the way and explore this remarkable shop. My GF got an incredible hat that I think she looks amazing in and I picked up some beef jerky that I would drive back from Vancouver for. Also, The cute little goats on the roof are spectacular to watch. Be sure to pick up a sticker or magnet on your way out.

A quirky attraction with a great market.

The building itself has a grass roof which hosts a number of goats who live on it at certain times of the year.

The market is amazing, which food produce from around the world. The deli counter is wonderful with a wide array of cold cuts, jerky and sausages.

We ate at the restaurant which was absolutely fine. A simple, but good menu. I had chicken tenders and fries and my wife had a sandwich and fries. Both were good and the fries were amazing.

If you’re in the area, definitely pay a visit.

This is a unique shop in Coombs. They have goats n the roof but when we were there it was still cold and not yet them on the roof. You can buy food and done unique items in the shop. They have a washroom facilities. There are many other shops around as well. It is a very touristy area and a good place to visit.

It’s fascinating to witness a goat being raised on a rooftop. Furthermore, within the market, you’ll discover a bakery shop.
