An amazing place, right across from Function Junction and breweries in a quiet area, 10-15 min drive to the main Whistler Village, regular public transit bus stop to Whistler located outside, public transit is wheelchair accessible, clean, friendly staff. Booked wheelchair accessible room and it was excellent. Wide door, Roll in shower, roll under sink, lots of space for wheelchair and accessories around the bed, elevator access. Private attached accessible washroom was amazing and made the trip possible. Carpet and one or two little transitions about 1.5 inches high through doorways. Bed is very low to ground so be prepared for uphill transfers out. Jostle mattress so be ready for that. Overall a great inclusive and enabling experience.

Great hotel in Whistler friendly to your pocket and super easy to access! The staff is helpful and kind, the cafeteria offers several options for breakfast/lunch, the kitchen is well equipped so you can cook your own meals and its very easy to access by bus from the Whistler Village. I stayed in a private room and it was pretty confortable and clean :)

Hidden gem! Tucked away about 10 mins from town by car, this place is really nice, very clean and really hospitable. Had lovely staff, clean rooms, towels and also had a cafe down stairs. Would recommend

The private room (411) was clean and quiet. Private bathroom. Kitchen fine, and eating area and common rooms fine -- a little minimalist in decor. Unlike the HI Hostel in Lake Louise where people are there for one reason during the summer -- to hike -- people stay at HI Whistler for many reasons. It seemed to be more of a young, single crowd. My stay was quiet, which I valued, but I got the sense that it can ramp up on weekends. One last point, the hostel is about seven km from the Village. There is a public bus service. Overall, I felt my stay, especially the location of the room, was good value.

Great hostel! Very comfortable. like the small details like having an outlet right beside the bed and lots of hooks to hang up our sweaty gear. Recommend.

My first hostel experience was here at the Hi Hostel in Whistler…….
I’m older and was traveling solo in the fall offseason through Whistler. I noticed this place was one of the cheapest options in the area and knowing that it was recently built for the olympics I booked a private room w/bathroom.

I had a vehicle so being away from town wasn’t a problem and it was super easy to find. Check in was a breeze and the front desk lady was nice and answered any questions that I had. My room was found to be really clean and both the bathroom and bed area were really spacious, not much for decor but you’re just there to sleep and clean up anyway. I didn’t partake in any of the breakfast/lunch there or use the kitchen. Wifi was found to be strong and the tv had plenty of channels to browse through. The property was really quiet which is nice, probably because it was the off-season and there didn’t seem to be a lot of guests in the building.

I definitely enjoyed my stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again in the future!!

A hidden gem in Whistler! Great value accommodation and very easy to get to Whistler mountain from. The staff are amazing, friendly and make the stay a no-brainer for backpackers (Special shoutout to Lillian!). Cafe is equipped with all your needs if you're looking for a well priced and tasty bite to eat!

We just got 2 turkey bacon sandwiches before i got pick up from Skylink mini van... Amazing taste! Good conversation with the sandwich expert 😉 and omg the panini sandwiches were soooo good!!!

Will be back for lunch again soon!! Prices were pretty reasonable too!! Always such good treatment at Hi-Whistler.

Facilities are excellent. There is a big dinning room with full kitchen facilities. There is a common room with sofa tv pool table etcs. Bathrooms and showers are clean. My only complaint is when I checked in the front desk run out of lockers and no towel was provided. Anyway certainly this hotel worth a 5 star review for solo or group travellers.

It’s a quite safe clean spacious hostel. Well connected to whistler village via local transit and provides parking space if required.
Playing spaces such as volleyball football pool ate available. Board games as well. They have bike rentals and a small cafe as well.
It’s away from city lights so has a nice low light view of the sky at night.
There are some offers provided to people staying at hostel so do check.
One thing that disappoints is that they close patios and living room early so it’s kinda bummer. But overall experience is indeed five star.

I booked a non-refundable stay. 30 minutes later I realized I couldn't actually use it and called in and they wouldn't do anything, which I wasn't happy about given the short turnaround. However subsequently the manager there, Alfie, reached out and offered me an alternate booking, which was very nice and understanding. While I haven't actually stayed here yet, they seem like good people!

The hostel was the best I've been to in Canada. The location was great, the private room was big, the shared kitchen was massive, and it was very clean. It also had a nice cafe where we got our early morning coffee from. We really enjoyed our stay and would go back there again.

I just stayed for the one night, but it was a great stay. Very large, spacious building close to several hikes. It is out of town though. With the buses being on strike, the only way I could get into town was to walk or hitchhike. Overall, if you have a car, it's a great stay.

I loved their overall concept of big common kitchen and tv room that they provided, we can cook our own food(as some of people are allergic or doesn’t likes outdoor food). Rooms were super clean and if you’re coming in large group of 8, you don’t have to book different rooms as they have 4 bunk beds in in single room. 🥳…! Receptionist were super polite and sweet. They guided us with transit system.. and helped us a lot. Cheers to them.

100% recommended place to stay in whistler

A room for a non dorm is 145 after tax. Friendly staff. Love the picture of Jack from the shinning at the front desk 🤣

Couldn't find the swipe thingy when I went out and smoked, picked it with the provided card in less then 30 seconds. When I got back in there at 11 heavy metal singing YOU WILL DIE YOU WILL DIE 😂😂 blasting next to sign that says pls keep it down after 10. Amazing ambiance. Best place to chill stoned!

145 for non shared clean room and polite staff is a good deal.. but it was to funny to good not to share my experience💀

We had a great hostel experience. It is in the Whistler Athlete village so it's in a more quiet location but you easily access the Whistler village by bus that comes by frequently. The hostel was very clean, and lots of amenities such as a lounge with pool or ping pong table and a big clean dining room outside the kitchen. The staff was also friendly and made you feel at home. We will be coming back again!

Fuss-free accommodations, with a cool view (looking onto the soccer field with mountains in the distance). Reception was friendly. The room was clean, save for a towel left hanging from the previous occupant (thankfully, it had make-up stains on it or I would have ended up using it by accident!). Overall good value!

The staff are amazing and really make the place, a big shout out to Nolan who put up with our big groups long check in and multiple questions and requests. The rooms are basic but perfect for an activity filled few days. The membership gives you great discounts on activities. The kitchen is really well equipped and clean. The lounge has super comfy seats and lots to keep you entertained. It's a bit out of town which is annoying but the 20 bus drops you from door to door.

Best hostel I've ever been in. Everything is modern and maintained well, the bus stops directly at the hostel, you only share a washroom with one other room, the kitchen is well equipped, it offers extremely chill patios, lounges, a TV room, a ski and bike room and you can play pool billiard for free. Even the food and drinks at the Cafe are reasonably priced. 10/10 would come again.

By far the best hostel experience ever. Highly recommended. The shared kitchen is perfect! While they are going through renovations at the moment for a pipe burst, Hi-Whistler accommodated us very well. Great vibe. Most travellers are very pleasant and mix and mingle beautifully. Lockers are within the rooms and are big enough for your carry-on luggage with a padlock. Has a bus stop just seconds away which can take you straight to the Whistler village for some late night dancing. Worth the price and great experience.
