Safeway Burquitlam

Well maintained Safeway with high quality seafood and meat. Starbucks, floral shop and liquor store are available right by as well as a spacious parking lot.

I have been shopping at Safeway Lougheed Mall, then Burquitlam for over 20 years. The Manager of the store is great. And the Manager (?) Of the bakery dept. is awesome! Yesterday, after asking where the hot cross buns were, and him noticing when he pointed them out that there was only one or two left, he went and packed some fresh ones for me just out of the oven!
That's service!
The 91 year old lady I shop for every second Tuesday really appreciated it!
And, without question, the best till cashier clerk is Cinzia (sorry, my spelling is probably off). She always rebags meat and is always extra careful to pack heavy first, delicate on top. She is so pleasant and friendly! Honestly, I come back these days, even though I moved to Pitt Meadows, because of Cinzia!
All the staff at this store are friendly and helpful!
...oh, the gentleman in produce who likely reads more, you know who you are, ...always so helpful!!!

Made a seafood boil for my boyfriend and came here last minute.. only downside was they didn't sell Old Bay seasoning

Larges selection of groceries and one of the freshest produce sections in the lower mainland. Great deli and florist make this place a good choice for quick meal options. Prices a little more expensive, but loyalty program helps keep costs down.

Lots of selection for chips and pop. They even have a section available with fresh herbs. My only advice to this branch would be to make the produce section sign more prominent. My friend Luc Lapierre, who is visually and cognitively impaired, was not able to find the herbs and proceeded to beat his girlfriend over it.

Somi, at the flower counter, is fantastic ! She has excellent customer service, works fast and has a great eye for detail and preparing the wrappers for bouquets. She’s such a gem!

A new model for a grocery store. The fresh food - veggies, meats and bread are contained in one part of the store. I grabbed everything I needed and went to pay, only to realize after that I didn't grab any of the dry convenience items. Returning to the store, I found that their boxed food is located in another section. Turns out that if you don't see it, you might not even need it! It seems that they dropped a lot of their prices and are now competitively priced. They also have a Liquor Store (separate entrance) and a Starbucks.

The place has pretty much everything your looking for and the stuff are friendly and kind. Highly recommend

Great store, nice atmosphere and staff. It's almost boutique grocery shopping...but it's Safeway!! Bakery had Christmas goodies that looked most festive and the produce is better than at other stores. Especially the berries.
If you buy ready to eat food, there is a little lounge upstairs where you can sit and eat comfortably.

Store is always clean isles nothing blocking your way to get your buggy thru without issues

A lot of employees work here provide an efficient and valuable service. I encourage you to experience this Safeway for yourself too. Hard-working, brilliant and selfless group, they are an essential force of what the world needs today. Thank you Safeway! Will come back for more.

We all know how Safeway is. But I wanted to raise awareness for this inspired chef of hummus. All of the hummus I have had until now especially those that are sold by supermarkets are massed produced which means they are modified in a very unhealthy way. This guys hummus is so far better in taste, pure in natural ingredients and healthier. You can give it a try. I usually don't promote any brand or such people. But this I had to because I am way above satisfied.

I'll give 5 stars to the customer service of Wendy of the bakery department. She was very helpful in helping me the choose the right cake and making it look special for my friend's birthday. Wendy is an asset to Safeway! As for the cake, it was delicious. Totally recommended!

Wide open aisles make shopping a breeze and lots of locally made products available too!

They have lots of items the other safeways don't. Super clean, presentable, and amazing customer service! I had 2 issues with the bakery in 2022. The 1st one I let slide the 2nd I had to get management involved, and they went above and beyond to help me. I believe her name was Nicole, anyways she saved my day, to say the least. Highly recommended shopping here!

It is a new oppened safeway. Good design, service and products..

Very nice and big Safeway, large Deli section, ready to eat isle, Starbucks, and in addition there are boardrooms on the 3 Rd floor you can use with snacks from the store, plenty of parking, a little pricy but overall ok.

The supermarket is located in a very convenient location, the place is very beautiful and always organized which is really impressive.
And the vegetables and fruits are always fresh and good looking.

The pharmacy staff are excellent! They very nice, all. And the kicker? They have my various meds ready for me to pick up on the dates i require them. I called to reorder, and ...'Yup, they're ready for u to pick up'. Fantastic. 5 star service.Thanks guys!
