Beany is seen by Dr. Thomas-Holland and I would just like to thank her and her staff for all the care and time they took with Beany over the past couple of years. I will be booking her blood work in the beginning of April with you for continuity of care and it all being done at the same lab.
She is back to her best self again.

VCA District Animal Hospital is an excellent clinic. I have been there with 3 of my animals for urgent care appointments and follow-up exams. I have received excellent care from the veterinarians, vet techs and assistants each time. For my most recent visits, I received excellent veterinary care from Dr. Paige Guindon, who treated my dog with diabetes and pancreatitis. She is very knowledgeable, kind and caring. I trust her advice, and I highly recommend her. You can tell she just wants the best for your animal companion.

I also love the recent addition of the Mollies Pet Market attached to the clinic. I was able to relax with my dog while we waited for test results. The staff was friendly, my dog got to have a treat, and my dog and I took a photo in the photo booth in the store. It made the trip to the vet less stressful. It was a great experience.

We saw Dr Tara Sager today for our badly injured lovebird Harlow. I had 0 idea walking in there today that when i walked out it would be without my bird.
The staff and care i received from the second i walked through the door was a solid 100/100!!!
Dr Sager and her staff were informative, patient, empathetic and SUPER consoling to my loss. I wish i could experience this kind of compassion everytime i visit a vet but this was def a one of a kind experience!!

Thank you Dr Tara Sager and staff. I will never forget your kindness.

We brought our cat to the District and she was diagnosed with diabetes. Dr. Guindon and the nursing staff have been amazing. They walked me through everything and have been available to answer questions and help with guiding me about insulin shots and monitoring. The rest of the team are welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended.

Definitely recommend bringing your parrot/bird here! I have been going to Dr. Sager for many years, even before she moved to this location/before she was part of VCA. She owns birds herself, is extremely knowledgeable, and offers solutions if she can that are less costly, and my BFA always leaves stress free! The clinic itself has free parking, always lots of parking too, is clean, there's like never more than 4 people in the waiting room/lobby, the staff are really friendly as well. The only thing that would make VCA better is if the company had payment plans.

went last night for a vet visit and had no idea we would be leaving without our rabbit. Dr. Liboiron did an amazing job supporting us through an extremely difficult time and explaining what was going on with our rabbit and walking us through the process. she was very gentle and caring and let us take all the time we needed during the whole thing. even though it was the most difficult time in my life i’m glad we went there because they gave us the best experience possible with the loss of a pet

Brought my 10y/o Cane Corso Mix in when her sutures let go after an aggressive mast tumor resection on her shoulder. The staff were outstanding in all ways, they kept us comfy and updated us with our babies progress, sturdy bandages were constructed for the awkward area (they even put adorable hearts, flowers, and butterflies on them), and quickly came up with a plan of action. So grateful for the friendly staff from the front desk to the surgeons.. I see you guys workin your butts off and it is appreciated greatly! Your remarkable commitment to quality pet & owner care has helped me through the hardest time of my life and for that i cannot thank you enough.

Had to euthanize my cat rather suddenly, and the staff were very accommodating and sympathetic. I appreciated the extra mile they went signing a condolences card and paw prints. A difficult time to say the least, but they helped soften the blow.

We had such a lovely vet experience with Dr. Dara McQueen! This facility is also very nice with a welcoming environment. The exam room was very comfortable for our cat and us, and it even had some hammocks for her to explore on. We love coming to Dr. McQueen, she is very thorough and kind. We feel that our cat is in the best hands and you can tell she loves what she does!

I would give 10 stars if I could… I came here after my 8 month boxer cross was presumably stung by a bee and had an allergic reaction. I am absolutely blown away by this place (in a good way!!!). It is gorgeous inside, very calming, spacious, and everyone there is super helpful, friendly and inviting. Dr. Hiebert was friendly, knowledgeable and clear with his communication. Things could not have gone smoother! On top of all that, it is connected with a pet store, Mollie’s, which has a cafe/coffee shop inside with tables that include dog beds at each one! What a great concept. This place is definitely my new regular veterinarian. Thank you!!!

Edit: Dr. Hiebert even followed up with me through text message the following day when symptoms started showing up again. He had a prescription done up and ready for me pick up. Amazing.

Had an emergency and had to take our puppy in. The staff was amazing and the service was quick. It was our first visit to the vet and they assured us everything was okay and helped get our puppy home safe and healthy! We also appreciated the informative posts as we are first time pet owners. A lot of information that we wouldn’t have known otherwise.

The team at District was amazing tonight when I urgently needed help with a 5 week old kitten. Dr Mark was so reassuring, the team kept checking in and giving us updates, and Daphne (the RVT) got an IV catheter into my 220 gram kitten! She's a superstar. The team stabilized my kitty and he's on his way to being underfoot and playful again!

I had to bring my rescue bunny in on an emergency basis on a Sunday and was referred to this clinic by another VCA clinic who didn’t have an exotic vet. Although it wasn’t in my budget, I’m not one to let an animal suffer. I have nothing but positive things to say! The clinic itself is beautiful, with an adorable pet market attached, the vet we saw (Dr.Alice) was fantastic and understood (when I burst into tears lol) that I wasn’t able to afford the visit plus extensive testing but since she was fairly certain what was going on she did the necessary tests and gave me the medication needed without pushing anything on me. I’ve gotten check up texts each day to ensure everything is going okay and suggestions for things to do or not to do. Over all I’m very happy I was referred here as I know my bunny is in great hands and would recommend this clinic to anyone needing a new vet or who finds themselves in a pet emergency needing care when their regular clinic is closed.

I am blown away by this vet in the best way. Had to rush my pug MarleyMoo in for urgent care - staff were all kind, helpful, and professional. They treated my puggo so well and after they drew blood they brought her out to the attached café/pet boutique to me where I was waiting for her in total comfort (and style, wow this place is cool!) I was very worried about her so being able to relax with her in a calming and fun environment was so beneficial to both of us in this experience. 10/10, we will be back for everything in the future.

The best experience we've had in Calgary. We have a Cattle Dog who doesn't like the vet and the staff here have treated him with nothing but patience and kindness. His surgery went great, the staff have been very helpful with aftercare and Dr. Hiebert followed up with us to make sure he was doing well. Overall the nicest staff, the friendliest doctors and the best care imaginable.

Said goodbye to my 10 year old bunny Kio as his quality of life was decreased. I love that there is a separate entrance/exit to the comfort room. Staff are patient and compassionate. Also received a lovely card signed by everyone ❤

We have multiple rescue birds and we have moved from BC to Alberta. Competent vet care for birds is incredibly difficult to find anywhere in Canada. Dr Sager and the other team members at VCA district were thorough and legitimately concerned about meeting the needs of our bird family. I trust them to care for my loved ones.

Best service ever!! The staff did all they could to try and save my dog Tank’s eye. They went over and above to give him the best care. Unfortunately we had to have it removed. The staff was so amazing and caring. Tank is doing great Thanks to Dr. Brian Skorobohach.

My sweet 15 year old pup passed away peacefully here, and the doctor and staff showed me so much compassion and kindness to me at my hardest time was beyond my expectations ❤
