The Crossing at Ghost River is a gem in the world of hospitality. I’m not sure where they find their staff, but each and everyone one of them are thoughtful and dedicated to an outstanding experience. I came to Ghost River for a two day work meeting and it speaks volumes that we booked in advance for 2025 to return for our next meeting before we even leaving the venue. They went above and beyond in every aspect of our 16 person group - from food preferences to ensuring accessibility and comfort for our wheelchair user. They ran me printed materials on a moments notice, made sure our beer was cold, and that the snacks were laid out for our impromptu hockey game party. The venue is beautiful, clean, beds comfortable. The air is fresh and wifi is top notch. You haven’t experience a retreat until you’ve been to the Crossing at Ghost River. Do yourself a favor and book a stay.

Highly recommend The Crossing at Ghost River. A great venue for a corporate retreat with delicious food, great meeting spaces and lovely, comfortable guest rooms all in a beautiful setting close to Calgary. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional.

Excellent location with beautiful views. Some of the most incredible meals and service. All of the staff were friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Kid and dog friendly. The decor is outdated but the beds are very comfortable and the room was very clean. Would 100% go back!

Incredible hospitality at a beautiful location. The food was delicious. Dinner & Breakfast were both amazing with options available for my wife who is gluten and dairy free. Would highly recommend for a quiet getaway with loved ones.

I have been to the crossing a few times in the last few years and every time it has exceeded my expectations. It is a beautiful, peaceful oasis connected to nature. The food is FABULOUS...every meal! The staff is accomodating and attentive without being intrusive. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I love this place it is a gem! Thank you so much for making our time at the Crossing so, so special! If you are contemplating, take the plunge, it's worth it!

Remarkable weekend away, just an hour from home!

Yes, yes, yes! Experience of a lifetime at this location! I was greeted by a super friendly lady and she showed me my room + gave me all the info about the resort.

The kitchen staff and waiters are top class as well as they were always there to greet me and to provide delicious food and deserts.

The room I stayed in was cleaner than in a 5-star hotel in a major city. The beds are super comfortable and there are extra blankets and pillows available if needed. The bathroom was stunning and super clean. There is not one spot on the shower curtains or walls!

The resort has access to the river where you can have a campfire or where you can take a dip in the cold water. Lots of space to walk or just to sit among the trees.

This resort has a meeting room that can be used for private events. There are two flat screen TVs and a projector screen.

There is enough parking and they close the gate at night.

This place is a true gem in the area and definitely worth a visit! Highly recommended. This place deserves more than 5 stars!

Update: every time I go to this place it gets better and better!

Had the pleasure of attending a corporate retreat at this gem overlooking the deep valley of the Ghost River. The food was exceptionally good (and generously provided), the staff were friendly and helpful without being intrusive, the room was cozy and spacious, the meeting rooms' decor incorporated the beautiful environment. I will hope to find a reason to go back there again!

For our family reunion the Crossing at Ghost River was all that we knew it would be. The staff were so kind and accommodating. They bent over backwards to cater to those of our group with food allergies. The facilities were outstanding and of course, the food was amazing. Having stayed at the Crossing for business meetings, I told my family that we may never eat that well at a family reunion again and they all agreed. Many thanks to the staff for helping make our family reunion such a memorable event!!!

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our wedding here the beginning of July 2022. From the beginning it was such an easy and stress free venue to work with to plan our wedding.
Carol, Christine, Jori and all the other staff made the day flow and truly went above and beyond to help us and our guests truly enjoy every moment. The food is beyond amazing and the natural beauty of the property is truly one of a kind. Can't recommend the Crossing enough for an event or for night away in their beautiful and unique bed and breakfast.

Stayed here for a 3 day work event. The meeting space is great. The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfy! BUT the FOOD!!!! Every single meal was incredible. Highly recommend booking this great venue in a beautiful peaceful setting. We will return!

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in June 2022 and found The Crossing at Ghost River to be an ideal location to host a three-day event for twenty-three family members and friends, ranging from five to seventy-five years old. The Deere House provided us with the bedroom space for everyone to stay and with both a games and a meeting room for group activities. The chefs and kitchen staff prepared delightful, savoury meals fit for royalty. Everyone spoke highly of the wonderful buffets that were served. A hike to the top of Mockingbird Lookup gave fourteen of our group an outdoor activity with bonding time. The Reservations Manager suggested and helped organize this event, for which we were very grateful. A guaranteed way to get people to stick together is with roasted marshmallows over an open fire pit. The Crossing staff helped make this happen, too. The staff, meals, facilities, and setting were simply outstanding. Everyone left with fond memories of the time we spent together at The Crossing.

We had our wedding at The Crossing July 9, 2021 and the consulting, planning, food, hospitality and service was absolutely exceptional! We had 50 guests with all guests staying overnight. Carol was amazing to work with, making sure all details were taken care of in the planning and day of coordination. We had lots of guests with gluten/dairy allergies and the food was absolutely incredible, guests are still talking about it. We were blown away with our wedding day experience there and HIGHLY RECOMMEND this venue! Thank you to all staff at The Crossing for going above and beyond, we are so thankful!

Had my wedding/elopement here over the weekend and it was such a wonderful experience! The staff were so helpful, accommodating and kind, they even remembered my family members names when serving us dinner. It was a dream working with Carol and everyone. The food was spectacular, literally one of the best meals of my life was my wedding dinner, it was just so delicious and cooked perfectly. The scenery was gorgeous, the bedroom was adorable. We definitely plan to return for a wedding anniversary or something. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get eloped or married. Even during covid they made my wedding so special and amazing and I can’t thank them enough!

My husband and I a spent a few days over New Year here at this exquisite place which is a perfect spot to relax and rejuvenate.
The house is very comfortable and inviting, wonderfully decorated with attention to detail and the staff were outstanding, taking care of our every need, the food was world class and the grounds are stunning nestled in the foothills.
We lit a wood burning fireplace every evening and relaxed with our feet up.
The drive into Cochrane is not too far and the wolf dog sanctuary is a short drive away.
We highly recommend this hidden gem for any event your planning.
You won’t want to leave, we certainly didn’t.

The Crossing at Ghost River is the perfect spot for a getaway. I have been here for meetings but our personal weekend away was just what we needed! It is peaceful to walk to the river, enjoy a campfire, or relax with a good book. It is so quiet and the rooms are very comfortable. The food is absolutely amazing, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Our weekend away was perfect! It is also a short drive to the mountains if you want to go hiking. We would definitely recommend the Crossing at Ghost River.

We recently hosted a corporate retreat at the Crossing and from start to finish it was exceptional! As the venue only has 27 sleeping rooms we were able to fully book the space and it was a very cool experience to be the only guests on site. The staff was very accommodating and worked with us on all of our event needs. The food was exceptional and the chef did an excellent job of accommodating our guests with special dietary needs. Our employees have raved about this event and said it was one of the best we have ever hosted - we would definitely return for a 2nd event!

I facilitate a number of client offsite/retreats each year and whenever possible I try to use The Crossing - geography, client requirements and location sometimes play a factor but when I have creative control of a location, I really value The Crossing.

Communication and scheduling is simple and easy. It's shocking how many other venues make this difficult.

The staff are beyond accommodating. If you've ever been to the venue then you know you're staying at a ranch house. The setting is very intimate, and the staff seems to have this sixth sense that allows them to make everyone feel at ease and get down to work.

The Venue has everything I really need from spacious and comfortable rooms (great sleep), an accommodating meeting room with all the necessary A/V, to a games room and wood burning fireplace.

The location is ideal for what I need - away from the business of our day to day lives yet only an hours drive from the west side of Calgary, and an abundance of nature with room to stretch and play.

The food... some of the best I've ever had... they can accommodate every food and allergy situation that I've ever come across.

Price - no issues. A sale is the result of value created, and The Crossing brings value in spades.

The Crossing at Ghost River is a place like no other. The truly amazing experience began the moment I connected with Carol to begin the planning process. Each question was answered with consideration to our needs and appropriate suggestions were put forth. When we arrived at the beautiful property we were greeted with smiles and made to feel immediately at home. The land lends its self to being part of the experience and there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The facilities are well equip with modern tech, comfy chairs and inviting decor, room for large or small groups. The rooms are immaculate, comfy and cozy. The food is prepared with love and you can taste it. The pride was evident in every tasty creations that we were treated to. Of course this all comes together because of the people who put their hearts into creating such a wonderful space at The Crossing. They take ownership and love doing what they are doing. We could not of asked for anything more. Our experience was a five star experience and we look forward to doing it again!

I booked this venue for my dad’s memorial and would absolutely recommend it. The location was gorgeous and nice and secluded if you’re looking for more of a rustic feel. Carol and Christine were fabulous, everything was well organized and as a guest, I didn’t have to lift a finger. The food was excellent and the Pine loft provided a warm & cozy setting.
