This is a lovely campground. Most of the larger sites are enclosed by trees on three sides. The tent only sites are more open but still have lots of trees. Our kids loved the playground. The lake is very dry this year. The lake is much smaller than Sibbald Meadows pond down the road. Campsites are by reservation only. If you booked on the way down, like we did, the office can give you an occupied marker. There is zero cell service until about 15-20 minutes away. The day use area has some nice open sites where you can see the lake. Overall, a peaceful escape to the forest with mountains nearby.

We camped here a couple weeks ago for the first time. What an amazing little campground. All the same amenities as some of the larger camp grounds. But off the beaten trail somewhat and certainly off the grid! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The campsites are all different sizes and shapes. Lots of tree cover for shade. We will definitely be back.

No service, no power, the way camping should be. We camped here for three nights, very quite after midnight. Very dark, perfect for Milky Way sighting. Lots of tall tress and big clean sites for tent camping.

Love this place very much. It's my second favorite campground. The only thing i dont like is the rough road going there but thats not even against the campground itself lol they have big sites that are well-treed and with good distance between each other. The night sky is perfect because it's really dark. The outhouses are clean on every time i was there. No network so thats a plus for me. The area with network is about 15mins drive from the site towards hway1. Very close to calgary too about 45mins from downtown.

2021: my family and I spent a couple nights here. I love how they have a park!!! The campsites were clean and the outhouses weren't to bad.
We will camp here again !

Nice sites, close to the water where you can swim, fish or paddle board. There is no drinking water around so make sure to bring enough, there is also no cell reception which we really enjoyed. The caretakers are so nice, they sell fire wood. Toilets are open despite Covid-19, there is always toilet paper and hand sanitizer but it doesn't hurt to bring your own.

There during the weekdays it was quiet giving us great opportunity to try out the many trails there. Need some major upkeep on many. No tank dumps on-site, if only they had a ramp for the wagon to load up for the 20 min drive to the dump station. So I don't recommend extended stays.

Perfect off grid campground.
Beautiful, private sites.
Know ahead there is no cell service, no drinking water, no showers, no hookups. It is an off grid campground so prepare ahead. Perfect for our camping style.
There is a small store there that sells the essentials. They accept card and cash.

A little taste of heaven. Live music during the week and a refreshing swimming pool on a hot day. There is also a lot to do nearby. From markets to a dip in a river. I can't wait to visit again.

I almost don't want to post this review because I don't want others to know how much of a hidden gem this campground is, haha! We stayed here for the first time in mid-July and just had the best time. Initially, we had a site that was very close proximity to our neighbors and long story short, we had to seek out another site. The campground managers were incredibly understanding, accommodating and friendly. We also walked around the campground and noted the many sites that were treed in and fairly private - we must've just been unlucky with our first choice as there isn't pictures on Reserve.AlbertaParks.ca. Love the beach/lake area as well. Can't wait to come back here again and again!

I've been coming here since I was a kid, always a nice quiet camp ground. One of my favourites for our first camp as we realize whats missing from the trailer close enough to the city if you need to go get something.

No idea when the lake fills back up from runoff sometimes it's great sometimes its barely full.

Great location and clean. Avoid D128, its not site worthy.

Nice campground. Large campsites with private fire pits and tables. Pretty clean pit toilets; bear lockers. The lake nearby is good for swimming and paddling when it's hot, although the beaches are a bit crowded. The E Loop is the best one in terms of quietness.

Great campground, easy to get to. Good for kids. Unfortunately the UCP added the kananaskis pass (for hikers and camper, but apparently not for ATV or off road users) which makes enjoying this place more expensive. Worth the trip, if you can afford it

Very pretty and quiet place to camp. Just be careful for the COWS at night time. Woke us up at 1:30am walking and rubbing against our tents. Ofcourse we were scared because we didn't know what it was but a relief to see 8 HUGE cows in the morning roaming around empty camp sites. No idea where these cows came from.......

I've been camping here since I was a kid and while it's changed only a bit, the lakes have been altered forever.
The floods changed the streams and when I was there in Aug, the lower Lake was down a good 6' of more.
The camping is great, there was only myself and 2 others on a regular weekend so it was quiet.
I'll pay some pics at a later date.

This is a first come first serve camp ground. I’ve never had a problem getting a spot in the tent only loop. Some sites offer more privacy than others, but each site is appropriately spaced from the next one. The site staff are very friendly. Great walking trails nearby.

So close to the city and relatively isolated campgrounds to enjoy some outdoors. A few good hikes nearby as well.
