Aquarela Do Leme Hostel

I had the best service with the Hostel recently. I had to modify my booking and I had to cancel but I was treated with kindness and understanding the whole way. I feel heartbroken to cancel because I can tell from the service and all the questions I had that they are such wonderful people. Service is extremely important when traveling to a new place. I hope to return when I feel better. Thank you so much for everything.

This hostel has it all. An amazing view, a cool roof terrace. Hammocks in every room. Even dance classes, forró, on Sundays. The family who run it are wonderful too.

One of my favorite hostels I’ve ever stayed at. Awesome views, great rooftop bar, outstanding breakfast. Friendly staff and social atmosphere. Excellent bunks with an outlet, shelves, light, and curtain. Neighborhood felt completely safe.

Amazing hostel for a solo trip or with a bunch of friends. We had a family suite for 3 friends and the room was very spacious and neat. The staff if very helpful and hospitable. Will definitely recommend this hostel.

Gorgeous hostel in a pacified favela, moder-new Age deco. Beautiful rooftop bar with a chilled atmosphere and great views. Nice spot for a romantic date.

Lovely place! Amazing view from the balconies and the rooftop. Gym area on the rooftop. Tasty breakfast available everyday between 7-10am. Only a few minutes away from the Lema beach. People working there are very friendly and there’s also a lovely dog. 100% recommended!!

Aquarela Do Leme is an amazing place ! If you want to travel in an authentic place and live next to real brasialian people, go there !

I stayed in the hostel during the Carnival. It was the most social hostel I have stayed in. The facilities were awesome and so were the staff! Special shout-out to Thibaut for all his help throughout the trip. Although my experience was extremely positive, my only callout would be that the hostel is up the hill so many cab drivers may not agree to get the car up which was a bit of a hassle. Also, the airconditioning is switched off in the day

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Awesome view from the bar/terrace facing the Copacabana beach. Amazing place to stay for the new years eve to watch safely the fireworks show!

Perfect location and facilities, heart-warming and helpful staff. They organize interesting events and tours. Breakfast is incredible. Prices are fair! Great atmosphere for solo travelers. There is really nothing bad to say about this hostel.

It's been a few years since I've stayed at this establishment but it was so memorable that I had to write about it. This hostel is STUNNING. The space, the staff, the location--absolutely incredible. I stayed in a private room here and felt like I was staying at a resort villa and combined with the dynamic community of the hostel and you have truly vibrant, ideal vacation setting. I would go back in a heartbeat. The neighborhood is so quiet yet centrally-located and the owners were so helpful in helping their guests have truly enjoyable stays. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Something about this hostel attracts the best kind of people here. I’ve stayed in +100 hostels in my life and it’s a rarity for me to return to the same one four times.

One of the best hostel I’ve ever stayed! Clean and comfortable dorm. Hospital and nice owners. Amazing atmosphere and the best view on the ocean! Super save place. Breakfast is great. There are work out space. Good place for digital nomad. Good internet and free coworking space. I really enjoy my stay at this hostel. Highly recommend!

This is by far the best Hostel in Rio.
Where to begin...? The place is beautiful and brand new. The rooms and dorms are so nice, and the rooftop is amazing.
The included breakfast is one of the best I had in a Hostel. And the atmosphere here is what I love most. It's so chill, the owners are the best... so nice and so helpful.
So I really recommend this place!

Aquarela do Leme is expertly managed. Thibault and his staff are wonderfully welcoming and make every visit personalized for a guest. Additionally, the facilities are well kept and the location is wonderful (it's quiet and authentic but has a short walk to the wilder parts of the beach). The tours they run out of the hostel and effort they make to insure guests feel welcomed to the city is absolutely remarkable. I've rarely seen that level of dedication at any hostel before.

A hostel that exceeded our high expectations (based on hype from fellow travelers). Incredibly welcoming owners and their cutest family and very helpful staff, excellent buffet breakfast, cozy common areas made for socializing, dorm beds that actually feel almost like small private room (curtains, small shelves, small lamp, power sockets). Interesting location right next to a safe favela (do the Trilha do Babilonia hike!), 5min walk from the beach and good accessibility everywhere. Excellent value for money! The private rooms are best private rooms ever seen at a hostel. On Saturdays they organize a local dance party on the rooftop and there's lots of other things happening all the time. Don't think twice, just stay there! Enjoy Rio :)

Hosts are very friendly and receptive. I went there my first time alone and met great people with easy and felt at home quickly. I highly recommend if you are from Brazil and want to know Rio or if you are coming from another country.

I had an incredible time at Aquarela do Leme and really loved this hostel. It's located in a safe, local neighborhood just 5 minutes away from the beach and has an amazing view of the ocean. The hostel is clean, airy, bright, and has a beautiful rooftop. Rooms are spacious, beds offer privacy, showers are great and the breakfast is excellent. The atmosphere is also really conducive to meeting other travelers. The family that owns is is also the best and have the best restaurant recs. Thank you Mariele and Thibaut!

This is the best hostel I've ever stayed in. I wish I could give them more stars! The hostel owners live there and make you feel like you're family. It's in a very safe neighborhood with easy access to the beach. The atmosphere and facilities are truly incredible.

Hands down the best hostel I have stayed at. The owners of the hostel are beautiful people you feel like a part of the family the minute you walk in. They always went out of their way to help all the guests, the place is super clean the breakfast is super fresh with homemade baked treats. Had a blast did not want to leave definetly will be coming back.
