The views are breathtaking! It's a wonder to be by the Chirst The Redeemer! statue and the beauty all around it.The best time is in the morning to get a good picture of the statue. The bathrooms were fairly clean. There is a bar and a couple of souvenir shops.

As one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, this massive 30-meter (~100-foot) tall statue offers stunning views over Rio.

Note that it can get really crowded throughout the day, so I'd recommend taking the first cog train up here around 7:10 AM to get here when there's no one else here.

They do have stairs to the top from the train station, but one can take an elevator and an escalator. There are also 2 chapels that can be visited.

202 Nov.17 We took a train the first time up. The second time we hiked. Any popular tourist site I’ve visited, I’ve been blessed not to have crowds. Just go very early if you can.

The train ride up is a must. It is was so iconic to arrive and marvel Christ the Redeemer. This site is a must see. Powerful visit and experience.

Bucket list! One of the 7 wonders of the world and it was worth seeing! Buy tickets ahead of time and hire a guide! The lines are hours long and we went to the front with our guide! Check the weather before going because some of our friends went on a cloudy day, and they were unable to see the top of Christ. We went on a hot day, and it was HOT, but there are places to get food and drinks. It's worth going though!!!

Took an Uber to the base and bought a ticket in the tram station. There was no line. It was a great experience. There is also a little cafe if you get thirsty or hungry on your way up to the statue. There are a couple of souvenir stores too. Great views from the top.

This is a return visit for me, this time with my family. We thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a few flights of stairs/steps at the top, highly recommended if you still have healthy knees. Else join the line for the elevator. The iPhone15 wide mode did the job perfectly and the 5x zoom let me take a close shot of Jesus. Love it! And of course, I have a lot to thank the weather for as well :)

Of course, it was worth the visit when in Rio, I would recommend booking in advance and coming early as the train to go up takes some time. Or you can also take an Uber ride to the top. But I highly recommend the train as it's a very nice ride through the jungle with some views of the city. It might be packed at the top. We had a guide, which was helpful as he was able to jump the queue.

The statue is an essential visit while in Rio! You can reach this point by taking a funicular (train), a van, or by hiking.

The main funicular station allows you to buy tickets in person using cash at a box office or using a credit card at one of the electronic kiosks on the station platform. They are timed tickets so pay attention to the time. Prices also vary by day!

The van can be reserved for pickup at Ipanema, Copacabana, or at the visitor center near Christ the Redeemer. You'll have to get a ride up to the visitors center somehow if you choose that pickup location.

You can hike here by starting at Parque Lage. It will take you a solid four hours uphill but it's free and you'll see wildlife and waterfalls along the way. Just bring water and prepare to sweat.

At the top you'll find snacks and drinks. There's a restaurant and even a small chapel for prayer. There are wild monkeys so be careful and keep your distance. The Redeemer statue has multiple platforms. There is an amazing view of Rio from the lowest one. Try to be here at sunset for the best views!

An unmissable attraction if you come to Rio de Janeiro. Also suitable for people with disabilities, you take a tram or train to the top and then you have an elevator and escalators to the statue itself. A great majestic view and a unique experience. Must visit

Definitely the best view over Rio de Janeiro!
Despite being very busy, the view definitely is worth it. You will have to take a train from the bottom towards the top, from descending the train you can take an elevator or just climb the stairs to the top. From that point you can see almost the entire city. Up there are coffee shops and gift shops so you can spend some good time.

One must not miss this attraction in Rio De Janeiro. A 20 min train ride to the top but due to the usual crowds even on weekday and off shoulder periods, you’ll have to wait for the electric train. As you board the train, try to take the seats on the right hand side for a better view of the bay.

After you get off at the fourth and last stop, take an elevator to the base of the statue. Saves you about 6 flights of stairs.

Finally, manoeuvre your way in the maddening crowd to take the best pics of the statue and the panoramic scenery.

Tourists flock this spot, as Christ the Redeemer statue is one of the new 7 wonders of the world.

20minutes train ride to the top is an easy option. There's a chapel beneath the statue. The Sugarloaf mountain is visible from here.

Always a crowded place.

Thats one off the bucket list ticked. As impressive as I always imagined. The view of Rio and surroundings is stunning. Looks precarious up there, but you really feel alive. Suffering badly with vertigo, would be the only reason not to go up here.

Absolutely amazing.
The view is incredible and this is one experience that you have to do at least once in your lifetime. It is recommended that you purchase your tickets beforehand online and also you should get there deliver your check in 30 minutes before schedule time if you are planning on taking the train.
There are other options where you can take the vans that go up the hill which is typically part of a city tour or if you prefer something more unique ans special you can schedule a helicopter flight which starts at about $60 USD depending on how many minutes up to $170.00 USD for about 25 min

Be prepared lots of stairs to climb. The last two floors have an escalater. Look for the elevator though... Didn't see it until coming down. Lots and lots of people, I couldn't get past them without a struggle. Many taking up space on the ground to get that perfect picture view😬. Come on people, take in the view with your eyes, it is absolutely breath taking! Bucket list? DON'T THINK TWICE!!! A must!👍🏼

We came, we saw, we conquered! What an amazing experience to get to see this in person! We unexpectedly bumped into a tour company at the bottom of the hill that somehow convinced us to pay them double to bring us up. I was so sure we were being scammed initially, but it turned out to be the best decision we could make. We did have to worry about parking our car because our tour guide chauffeured us everywhere and we didn’t have to wait in any lines because of his company pass! He also took the most amazing pictures of us. Thanks Weslyon for a wonderful experience!

Crazy place, you get to the top with the Cordovado Train, then you can go up with the stairs or the elevator to get directly behind the Christ. Once you are there, there’s an incredible view of Rio and the giant sculpture together, breathtaking!
The place is really really crowded, it’s hard to take a picture alone, or a decent picture anyway; even getting closer to the balcony to see Rio is kind of difficult because all the people as stuck there and you have to wait to take their place! Besides all of this the area is just unbelievable, everyone has to go there once in lifetime.

Absolutely gorgeous sunset up here.the Statue itself is glorious and beautiful to behold! We came up via train and stayed until the last one down. It was very crowded but totally worth the experience with the 360 views of Rio and to see the Statue up close.

Great views of the city, and a fun experience. Expect to spend an hour to arrive and another to depart, basically a half-day adventure. Try to avoid weekends, and careful on hot days. It can feel like you're walking on a grill. My phone overheated while taking pictures under the hot sun and high summer temperatures. Wear good clothing and sunscreen too! Careful with the wildlife and your personal belongings.

Get there early, the line will grow and you could end up waiting a long time. Plus at the top it gets crowded fast.

The downside with being early is it can be foggy and the view hindered.

You can't visit Rio and not go here.
