Last day in Brazil, we were drenched in water but committed on exploring Rio, totally recommend this place if you wanna get mixed with the locals, it’s free entry and good place to take photos.

The museum is beautiful. The expo I attended wasn't amusing but the rest of the place is really nice. They have a café and a cowork area inside the building. The gift shop is a bit expensive but it has really cool stuffs, so I think is worth it.

So impressed by the Centro Cultural!

This beautiful center is free entry, and everyone should see it!

I went today and found out Walter Firmo’s exposition, and it was highly impressing, and the way it was curated, gorgeous.

The ladies from the elevators were super nice.

I would come back!

Fantastic place, really gorgeous architecture and the interior. The elevator is the best. When I went there I visited the Ancient Peru exposition with the original Inca gold pieces. It was incredible and absolutely for free.

An under appreciated attraction in the city of Rio de Janeiro. With rotating art exhibits, the Centro cultural do Branco do Brasil is a wonderful venue to visit. It isn’t near any of the beaches or major attractions, although it close enough to the metro where it isn’t a hassle to get to. It also provides a great reprieve from the sun beating down on you outdoors.

Museum, theaters, cinemas, art gallery, temporary exhibitions, gourmet cafe and bookstore all in one place managed by the Bank of Brazil. Besides permanent exhibitions and temporary ones which are usually free of charge it's a great stopover to drink some water and use clean bathrooms. Also, grab a snack if necessary. Their money gallery is amazing and tells a lot about the history of Brazilian Real (and much more). The Colombo bakery I prefer the one on Rua Goncalves Dias which is a classic and holds a lot of historical value. The Bank of Brazil permanent exhibition is a must see. If you're in Rio, I'm a local guide here. Feel free to get in touch with me through any social media: @DEBOMZAI

Visited for the Mucha exposition. Properly sized collection of posters and photos. Well-laid building and not crowded at the time of the visit.

The walk through was on the 4th floor. If you don't speak Portuguese that is a little hard to understand at first. Worth going to see, especially because it's free.

Goegeous cultural center in one of the best corners of downtown Rio.

CCBB (Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil) a very well preserved, architecturally astonishing building where it was once a bank, Banco do Brasil. It promotes art shows and plays, some of them for free. The space has a grand dome, marble floors and an old mirrored elevator. You'll find a small bistro and a bookstore in the facility.
It is definitely a nice place to visit, even if you don't have the time to check out any art show.
The area is close to a large cathedral, to the Casa França-Brasil (another cultural center) and the Correios Museum. A few restaurants in cobblestone streets behind the building add to the charm.

Great cultural center with curated expositions, cinema, library, fancy historical coffee shop, co-working space and plenty of activities, events and art labs. Admittance is mostly free or very affordable. A truly democratic cultural venue of excellence

CCBB always has some great art exhibitions, which are usually free, and its architecture is very rich and beautiful. It’s definitely a place to visit while in Rio.
For those who enjoy Confeitaria Colombo, there is one inside CCBB.

Museum at day, Samba Party at night. Best Samba party at the streets that I have seen in Brasil for now. Feels like carneval. Life music and full of brasilian dancers, very gayfriedly.

Beautiful well maintained historical site. Former bank from imperial era. Currently hosts arts exhibitions and cultural events. In the occasion (Dec 2020), there is a very nicely curated exhibition of Mucha artwork and career.

Wonderful place. I wish there were more things posted in English or Spanish, but we didn't go to the information center which probably would've had information. The place was still beautiful to walk around and explore the rooms and art. Everyone there working was very friendly and the place was extremely clean.
