Nice view, need to come twice to catch a more spectacular sunset, usually bit crowded but worth it. Streetsellers beer, globo chips, nice atmosphere, sometimes musik. Weed getting sold, sometimes it stinks a bit. Lot of police presence during Feb at the entry which is good. Don’t stay too late in this area and move with big groups.

The place is protected by the police officers. It is not dangerous as surrounded by lots of tourists. Mirador views of 2 beaches and possibly a mini beach in that location. It has several mini trails and kids sells drinks, cigarettes and water. Great for sunset! Great for a romantic day!

My new top favourite sunset place.

This a beauty that is a must to enjoy while in the area. It is a very nice little scenic hike up the rocks overlooking the beach and ocean. It is very peaceful and chill. Once you get to the top just simply sit on the rocks and enjoy the views. It’s not a tough climb at all and for everyone. But be careful because the rocks are slippery. Only takes 5 minutes to get to best view points.

Awesome place to catch a lovely sunset! Should definitely go there if you’re in Rio! Awesome atmosphere, a lot of food stands to get your tapioca, popcorn, corn and more! Vegan options, too! Don’t overspend your money on the walking vendors offering your drinks and bring your own stuff. Can get quite crowded so make sure to come a bit earlier. Also, if you’re into surfing you can watch others surf or try it yourself. close by is a nice outdoor gym, too!

Must visit during and after sunset when in Rio. Just make sure to watch your belongings and buy alcoholic drinks only at the quiosque and not from young guys running up and down the beach.

Stormy sky’s with a gorgeous view of the city in the mountains.

Most beautiful spot in Rio near the beach of Ipanema. During the day, it's perfect for sun seekers, sea bathers and high waves surfers / paddlers. Before dawn, people gather close to Arpoador rock to see the sunset, and it's so gorgeous. At night, there are some good bars around to go to and strolling by the seaside is a highly pleasant thing to do. It's quite an often habit, during summertime, for local people to enjoy some swimming in the sea all day long up to late at night, as its waters will be always warm, the air temperarure will be extremely high, and streets will be well lit... So, Arpoador has got a full package of all the good stuff one can imagine by the beach.

Another must see spot in Ipanema. Great view where you can see the entirety of Ipanema beach. Lots of police officers patrol the area so it's not sketchy. Lots of stands selling drinks and novelty items. Also have places for surf lessons. Stop by here didnyou are in Rio!

In a month and a week I've been here it's the place I most visit regularly. It's amazing. The sunset watching is magical.

One of my favorite places to go. It has been one of the few places open during the Covid crisis and is absolutely beautiful whether you go and watch the sunset, the sunrise, or just simply sit on the rocks and enjoy the breeze of the ocean and the magnificent view of Ipanema and Leblon.

One of my favorite beach areas in Rio de Janeiro. Must go when you visit Brazil! Bring sun tan lotion especially in the summer.

The view is different from here, there are big and beautiful rocks like it was a piece of the Croatian coast. Huge cactuses and palm trees make the scene even more exotic. In a clear day you can make nice photos about the whole Ipanema bay.
