These guys… phenomenal. Got my gear here two weekends this season and both times the team here was super friendly, helpful and made sure we had the perfect fitting boots. One weekend we had someone unable to come and BM refunded me their equipment on the spot. Great crew, customer friendly policies. Will be back next year.

Easy to book in advance - and on arrival Michael was brilliant. He bonded with my son who is autistic and fitted him beautifully..... And all within 10 minutes so we made our lesson on time. Smooth, easy and professional - we had a great day and having the right equipment was a big part of it. Thanks Black Mountain - and Michael ,👍🏾

Staffs were friendly, especially the guy with cool tattoos called Michael was amazing, accommodating and helpful. Great quality of the equipment and you don't need to have a stupid sticker with your name showing everyone who you are on your ski like other shops does, as all skis've already got their own cute name for you to recognise :) . highly recommended!

These guys have been awesome. I rented the “executive” snowboard which I had not heard of as it was my first time snowboarding in Australia. I would equate it to a performance board. The team were accommodating, responsive and happily swapped my boots when the binding snapped.

I experienced fantastic service from the team. The gear appeared to be great quality (especially the ski boots). They went above and beyond, even lending me a pair of slip on snow boots to run around and find the hire skis my son misplaced. Thanks guys.

We visited Mt Buller on the 15 July, didn't really have any plans it was only a day trip to experience the snow. Ended up hiring 2 toboggans from Black Mountain Equipment for the day. The young, blond man who helped us was super friendly, helpful and even remembered my name when returning the gear later in the arvo. That was impressive knowing how many people they serve throughout the day. Really great service and the experience made our day even better than what it already was. Thank you!

Really helpful staff , friendly. They are flat out everyone hires from these guys as they are best value. Don't hire skis off mountain way to much to carry. And don't book lessions at 830am it impossible to make it when staying off the mountain. These guys rock total professionals

After trying two other stores without success, the staff at BME were able to assist and resolve the issue I had with my bindings. Knowledgeable and skilful staff, great service.

Excellent team - our go-to for hiring on the mountain. Happy to swap over our friends boots (seemed okay in the shop - just a little tight after skiing) and keen to find the right ski and boot combination for them.

Friendly service and reasonable quality gear. The guy who serviced my son was telling and showing how the boards are waxed, and gave him a nice chat, which was lovely.

From the minute we walked in until we returned our gear, the staff were amazing. They couldn't do enough to ensure 3 x adults and 5 x children were happy with skis, boots and gear. Go straight here if you're on the mountain, you won't regret it.

Hands down the best place to get your gear in Buller. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help return some lost belongings. Plus free helmets! We'll be back next year.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. They will even fix/replace things you've hired off mountain (provided the off mountain place agrees to it of course!)
