One of the best huts in the Vic high Country.. its a must see location..
Then up the track a little more is the worlds biggest snow gum.

If you visit any of the high country huts around Easter time or later pack warm clothes as the weather can change quick.... get your fire going early. Drop toilet on site...BYO paper
leave the site cleaner than when you arrived.

Big hut. Big fire place. Big outside fire pit. Lot's of camping area. Very nice hut & well worth the drive. The tracks to get there are also good. Definitely only 4x4 tracks but not hard track's. There is also some amazingly beautiful views on the drive there.

2 nights in November snow.
Awesome!
Keep the fire back or it will get smoky in that mammoth fireplace!

When we got there the grounds were full of snow & the hutt had a smoldering fire the previous travelers had left behind. It is a campground worth visiting however challenging tracks to get there.

Lovely hut with a great feel to it. Camped there on my own & was joined by a huge Wedge Tail Eagle that landed in a tree meters away, he hung out for a while & watched me drink a few beers till he'd seen enough.

A very good sheltered place to stay in the magnificent High Country. A bit of a mission to get here. Bring ur some dry firewood. Self sufficient camping

Amazing place to visit or canp. Make sure you check out Picture Point as well. Incredible views. Got there one stunning evening at sunset, minor bushfires in the distance (out of harms way for our team), but made it so more beautiful to look at.
