Duck Inn

Nice simple modern accommodation with simple breakfast included. Nice hydronic heating had to be turned down not to boil. Good got shower with soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers instead of mini bottles. Ski rental in the building. Restaurant was closed as end season. Breakfast simple but offered almond milk with weetbix and muesli plus toasts so ticked our boxes.

Stayed at Duck Inn July 23 for three nights
We were happy with our stay. Staff very friendly. We stayed in room 102. We had a small balcony, nice view with bush land in the front, villas/homes in the distance on the left and views of chair left and skiing mountain in the distance far right. The bed was very comfortable and warm. Room cosy, a tad on the small size, but can easy make do, as most days out and about. There was a simple breakfast included in the price, which is a added bonus - tea, coffee, fruit juice, cereal, toast, pancakes, but ample to fill you up at the start of the day.
If wanting to eat at the resturant make sure you book when you arrive as it gets booked out and guest did miss out. They offer either a 2 course or 3 course menu.
They have a drying room for all wet snow clothes and boots to dry overnight, and a ski store for all ski equipment. They have stairs and no lifts, just two levels, which really suited me as I hate going into lifts. Only about a 8 minute walk to the village or there is a free village bus that picks you up not far from the front of Duck Inn.
This hotel ticks most boxes, is value for money for a comfortable stay, I would recommend Duck Inn to those looking for accommodation in Mt Buller.

I stayed from 8/16 to 8/19 and would like to express my gratitude to the male front desk staff and the bartender Silva for their assistance.
During our stay, my family accidentally twisted her ankle. They provided ice for the emergency and showed kindness and concern, making our journey warm and comforting.

The location, room and service of the Duck Inn was amazing. Even though we just stayed overnight, we were greeted upon arriving and leaving and the breakfast was also great. I would recommend for anyone going to Mt Buller to enquire about this place. :)

We had a great stay. Friendly helpful staff who really created a nice vibe about the place. Rooms very comfortable. Location convenient. We look forward to being back next year.

As we decided to travel only 1 week in advance, we were unable to find available rooms online. Kellie managed to find us a room for 2 nights 😍
We took an apartment on the 3rd floor, it was very small but clean and tidy.
All staff were friendly and helpful at all times.
Breakfast is very simple with coffee, tea and bread. I would love to find some fruit and cheese. 😉
When booking, ask for the 1st or 2nd floor apartment. After a day of skiing you'll appreciate not having to climb stairs.😂😉

Modern, comfortable clean room, excellent location only 7mins walk to village. Bus stop across the road for easy access to village, ski slopes and ski school. Excellent restaurant.

Duck Inn is really well located on the mountain, close enough to everything but far away from the noise. Service is fantastic, the staff obviously love to be there. Ski Hire on site is extremely convenient and the restaurant is superb. 5 stars all round , I would highly recommend staying here.

My partner and I stayed at The Duck Inn for two nights and couldn’t have asked for a better stay! The staff were incredible and so helpful! The room was spotless and was all that we needed to stay warm at night and relax after a big day on the slopes ⛷ 10/10 would come back!

I recently took my partner to Mt Buller as a birthday gift and we stayed at the Duck Inn. The staff were friendly, very helpful when needing assistance and Aleks went above and beyond for us! The room was spotless, cosy and spacious compared to many other competitive hotels. We were just a short (and very picturesque!) walk from the town centre and the snow gear hire from the hotel was convenient and time saving. Highly recommend to anyone in search for a comfortable stay that doesn't break the bank!

Great location, very nice and helpful staff, nice rooms as well. After the great experience we have here I recommend this place to all my friends and family.

I stayed at the Duck Inn with my family at the beginning of Winter.

The check in service was so quick and easy because the Ski shop is right there and so I was able to organize my equipment as I checked in and they stored it for me over night so that in the morning after a nice breakfast I was able to jump straight on the free shuttle bus which is right outside and head to the slopes.

The rooms were extremely clean and the beds were comfy compared to most hotels I have stayed at. The heating kept the room toasty warm all night. I would highly recommend paying the bit extra for a balcony room as the views over to Mt Stirling are beautiful on a clear day.

The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help you with just about anything that you need.

Very friendly staff, straight to point with things. They keep it simple and give what they offer. Breakfast was a plus we didn't knew we had 👍🏼

Room is clean and warm. Breakfast is average but okay. No issue while we stayed there.

Easy check in... Spotless hotel.... Triple room was perfect for the 3 teens! The ski hire shop is is stocked well and Nacho a big help on the fit outs.... Also will deffinetly not freeze in this hotel had to turn the heat down!

Mount Buller is a resort village in eastern Victoria, Australia.

Go to the Mount Buller that's only three hour from Melbourne..

We go there by shuttle bus and get some cool experience in our trip.

We can find lot of treatment to playing with snow.

We can find down hill ski, bike trail and many more.

We had a lovely stay at Duck Inn. The staff were very friendly & always happy to help.

Stayed mid week. Service was quick and personalised, ski shop is on premises and is quick and expertly run. All the staff seem to love their jobs, nice to see.

Walking distance to centre, shops, bus.

The meals were included in our package and were fantastic. Great value.

We have been coming to Mt Buller for years and this is truly a hassle free stay.

The Duck Inn is a brand new hotel rebuilt last year and they have managed to keep it affordable.

We will definitely be coming back.
