Chatsworth General Store

A wonderful cafe to stop at for a bite to eat. We found it by accident and will visit it again. Food was great and staff were very friendly.

Stopped in for lunch. Fish tacos were excellent, local fresh flat head. Staff were lovely brought our lunch to us across the road where we sat by the river and relaxed. Highly recommend this place.
New edit: Came back 2 wks later and had amazing coffee.

The tiny village of Chatsworth Island is really an understatement. A single row of well kept homes sit along the calm flow of the mighty Clarence River. In the centre of town, the Chatsworth General Store pops out with it's Brunswick Green and timber frontage. It's a place to sit down with your coffee and burger, shut up and watch the fishing boats float down the river or risk nudging one of the old timers for a chat about the local area. For those who need to just...stop.

Stopped off at this nice little.cafe while driving back to Sydney from the Gold Coast. Great coffee and pastries. Make sure you stop here if you need a rest break.

Just got a steak and chips and I would have to say it was the best steak sandwich I have ever had and the place was so clean, good job staff you will see me again 🤠

Great coffee, toasties and friands by the Clarence. Service (which is wonderful) extends to the picnic tables on the river-bank.

This quaint little store in a small town was wonderful! The setting, ambiance, and service all added up to a cute, welcoming experience. Tried the BLT wrap and that was amazing. Definitely worth the stop if you need a snack and coffee on your drive!

We accidentally stumbled upon this gorgeous recently renovated cafe, that was just re-opened 3 weeks ago. It sits on a tranquil part of the river. The food, service and (most importantly) the coffee were all outstanding! We really enjoyed lunch here, and hope to come back again soon! Best stopover in the region - worth going out of your way to pop by! Highly recommend!!

What a spot for lunch or a coffee! We found this gem on our trip back to Sydney from QLD. Beautiful setting to sit at on the river, the service was second to none and the food was delicious. Do yourself a favour and pop in!

WOW. What a fantastic nostalgic return to the premises. The general store R L Wiblen and Sons (my grandfather dad and uncle) had the store till 1973 when it was sold. 50 years later a cafe. Well worth coming in and enjoying the food and company. Well done everyone. A pleasure to have dined there for lunch. Definately be back again AAA+

A stop between gc and syd, I didn't expect the chicken burger to be so good!
