Maclean Show Grounds

Great location. Unfortunately we could not stay on the river as there was Gymkhana on this weekend. So we had to stay up on the hill. However, only cost $15 for the night ( caravan and family of 4). Toilets, dump point, town water and a quick 10 min stroll into town.

A great spot to rest up and watch the evening. A great value stopover for caravan or camper. Nice to contribute and make use of a historic agricultural showground

Maclean Showgrounds a perfect place to stay $15 per night on the banks of the river. Walking distance to town and pet friendly. The gentleman caretaker was friendly and shared his knowledge of the area. Toilets were spotless, a great spot for a camp!

Great place for a stopover when self contained , great Riverviews, MacLean is a lovely town .

Great community grounds and great job management for grounds maintenance and repairs

We camped at the showgrounds where there are 10 spots available. No power or water but very clean amenities. It's a short walk to the town where there is a good selection of shops & cafes, including a Spar & IGA supermarket.

Nice cheap overnight parking for vans and motorhomes, right on the river

Great spot not far from coffee shop and Pub and small historic harbour at the Clarence River next to historic bridge! Love this place on the way to the Gold Coast. Scottish Heritage.

Have to give it a 5 star for the reason it's provided for a $10 a day fee and the grounds were lush with green grass and view of the sunset over the Clarence River was superb. Water was supplied if required. Toilets were clean although the mosquitoes hung out there.
The walk into the local shops is only 1klm.
We spent money in the grocery and hardware stores. We will be making sure we stop here again and stay a little longer next time. You can stay up to 3 days. Thank you to the local showgrounds for allowing RV's to stay.

Lower camping area is closed at the moment after the floods, but they have a higher area you can use to camp. High & dry & some views over the water & at the bridge.
Toilets & dump point are open & clean after floods, both are located at the lower section.

Turn right as you drive in for dump point, toilets & camping area rules/pay station - large U-turn area at the bottom.
Fees are also collected in the evening by volunteers.

Turn left for current camping spots. Room for approximately 7 vans if you squish in... Get there early!

Well kept ground's, clean toilets 🚻 a 15 minute walk into town and cheap spent my money in town instead of giving it to a caravan park.

Great spot, good price, handy to everything. Clean amenities. Only suggestion would be to have a couple of recycling bins for glass, cans and plastic bottles.

$10 a night. volunteers come around morning and night to collect money. man there today was lovely and allowed me to go into town to get cash out. clean facilities and room for caravans and tents big oval to use and right near beautiful river. please respect this area

The caretaker Brian went over and above to make our stay enjoyable. We had some problems with a newly purchased caravan and he was very helpful to solve our problem. Thankyou Brian.

Top spot down by river. Need to get in early for area fills up. Usually $10 per day but often can be free as voluntary council collector. Great sunsets as you look towards bridge across Mclean River. Must park down neat river around main arena.

Stopped the night in our camper, 10 dollars and did ok! If you walk into the town keep going to the end, and you will find a club with bar, Chinese food and entertainment, we had a raffle with meat trays that looked good.
