Maclean Hotel

Just did a 46km standup paddle board race down the mighty Clarence river and needed a great feed ... and a great feed is what I got! Second time I have popped into the pub for a feed. Food has come out quicker than expected and has been pretty bloody good. The chefs special of beef bricket.. O... M...G delicious, juicy, moreish, one of the best Briskets I have had. Locals are friendly and up for a laugh. Great pub.

Great spot. Very clean and comfortable. It's pub accommodation, highly recommend and would stay again.

Was driving past and stopped to get food. Kitchen was allready closed but friendly staff offered to heat up a curry. Came out to best curry I have ever had !

Delicious lunch of pork, fennel and apple sausages with mash and steamed vegies, which were lovely and crispy and not cooked to death. Nice old world chatm and friendly staff.

The wait staff were extremely helpful and kind and a special shout-out to the Chef Ken who came out to speak to us and went out of his way to make our vegan son a meal not on the menu (which was not a hassle to him at all) which was full of flavour and filling!! Very much appreciated!

A lovely meal for a Vegetarian,we all enjoyed the meals we are a group of oldies wh get together monthly try different eateries and have a good day out in the bus.

Stopped in a bit early for the Tuesday special of Snitz, chips and salad.
They amazing staff slipped us in a bit earlier than 5.30 and we sat down and totally enjoy our meal. The staff were friendly and so polite.
Will definitely be back.

Beautiful old pub. Stopped in for a quick drink. Beautifully restored inside. Daily lunch special. Today was chicken schnitzel chips and salad for $12. Massive outdoor deck looking out at river. Great place.

Great country town pub, just how they should be. Great local staff who greet you with familiarity. Rooms are what pub rooms should be - a bit ramshackle but comfortable and clean

Best steak I've had for a while.

Stopped for dinner on the way through to Brisbane. Fast service and great meals. Ordered the $13 schnitzel for Saturday night special. Came with a good sized portion of fat perfectly cooked chips, mushroom gravy and a nice side salad. Daughter had kids fish and chips which came with an adult sized portion of chips and crumbed piece of fish. More than she could eat. Kids meal also come with ice cream. Can't recommend a better place for a quick meal. Forgot to take photos the food was that nice.

Best pub meal I think I have ever had. Big hearty portions and excellent value for money. Recommended.
