On The Bite

Where do I start?! My husband and I absolutely adore this gem of a cafe! The food here is second to none, we especially love the sticky pork (and dubbed lunch time as sticky porko’clock), but it’s a hard choice between all my other favourites: falafel, chicken salad and tacos! The staff are super friendly and always greeted with a smile.

Great cafe. Definitely worth leaving the A1 or as a destination in its own right.

The most amazing breakfast of hot apple crumble with berries and macadamias served with yoghurt. Absolutely YUM!!!!.

Best breakfast in the whole region. We holiday regularly in Yamba but happily drove a couple of mornings to Maclean just to get breakfast here.

They made the only coffee my husband enjoyed on our holiday and the bacon and eggs are literally the best ever.

Food was great, we had the falafel and the pork and both were absolutely delightful. Big servings, city cafe quality with country town pricing. Coffee strong and delicious. Would stop in again happily.

This little Cafe off the highway is a wonderful stop for breakfast, the Shakshuka is by far the best I have ever had with soft and delicious sour dough. The Breakfast crumble is also sweet and well balanced. You will not be disappointed.

Stopped for lunch travelling to Brisbane. Great friendly service. Meals prepared quickly and very tasty. Good choices for vegetarian.

Lovely little cafe with delicious food. Fast and friendly service, close to Pacific highway exit. Indoor and outdoor dining and beautiful little shops to browse along the avenue. A beautiful stop!

If you're in Maclean or just passing by, check out this nice little cafe right on River St. for the best coffee and great food! Family run and friendly. Popular with locals and visitors alike and highly recommended.

Best Lamb Korma Curry I have had in Australia. What a rare gem tucked away in Maclean. Top notch service from staff too.

Great service and food. My latte was hot and delicious and the turkish toast was generously heaped with avocado topped with mint and dill, something I havent had before and I found was refreshing and a different way to enjoy avos. Very generous side of bacon to round it off. Pet friendly with plenty of out door as well as inside seating.

Hands down best breakfast feed we’ve ever had. I had the shakshuka, which was to die for. So delicious. My husband had the bacon and eggs on sourdough and added halloumi. For something so simple it was absolutely beautiful. Great coffees too and really friendly service. Highly recommend stopping in here!

This place is an absolute treasure. It’s been recommended to me that many times but I only got around to trying it finally because a friend gave me a gift voucher for my birthday. Took my daughter for lunch and she loved her ham and cheese Turkish. I got the pork belly salad and was absolutely floored by the flavour and the freshness. Just beautiful.

The Korean Style chicken bao was just delicious!! Road trip stop & well worth the deviation from the highway - congrats to the small crew. Excellent.
