Daintree Village Hotel and General Store

My meal here was a highlight of our 5 day trip to Port Douglas. We just popped in for an ice-cream and I decided to try the Croc Skewers!! These were amazing!! Staff were friendly. What a lovely little village. We will be back for a visit again!

What a great find this was on our visit to the Daintree. We shared a chicken burger and sweet potato fries - the chicken was cooked to perfection, a big thick crumbed breast with salad and pickles. And the fries crisp with a yummy sauce. So good! Topped off with Matso’s ginger beer on tap. Friendly service made it a lunch to remember. Highly recommend

Such a damn good meal!
After a day exploring the area we ended up in the Daintree Village, and in need of lunch we went where everyone else was.
The hotel is spacious, clean and busy!
The number of people here when we arrived was a good sign.
We took a seat outside and shortly after, our food arrived, for the number of people here our food was ready very quickly.
The beef burger was cooked wonderfully and the overall burger was great. The sides and kids meals we ordered were just as delicious.
Just a great hotel in North Queensland.

The food here is amazing! We ended up eating here twice and both times they smashed it for 6. There are a few cafes and restaurants up here that get by with doing the bare minimum and over-charging for the privilege because they think there isn't much choice. Well there is, and your only choice should be this joint. Outstanding.

This is a friendly little pub and the only place to get a meal after dark in Daintree Village. We had lunch there once and dinner twice and it was generally awesome! You may read the service is slow but this is a sleepy town with few people (40 to be precise)... if you arrive when a bus load of people do, be patient... why hurry? We chilled, watched people, ate great food at good prices (loved the Parma and pot night) and watched the night fade to black! This place is fantastic... just don’t expect what a sleepy town cannot provide!

Fantastic lunch, the food was quick to come out and all staff so very friendly. Great atmosphere and glad we made the choice to have lunch. Highly recommend.

Great pub spot, worth the drive. The lady that served us was really lovely and the food was excellent.

The Barramundi Burgers were delicious, the batter on the fish was excellent. The fried onion rings lovely and light (a huge serve for $8), and the pepperoni pizza was also very good. Nice to have all freshly cooked food and served with a smile.

Everything you would expect and more from a small hotel. Definitely recommend!

Delicious food and big variety to choose from. Big portions and good prices. The croc skewer was mind blowing since we got there right after our croc spotting river cruise. Also had some short rib, which was lovely and very juicy!!

Brand new owners ,Doing an excellent job under harsh circumstances. Hope you enjoy working and mixing in our small community. Hang in there! Onwards and upwards.

Awesome food. We had salt and pepper squid and grilled fish. There's a bit of wait for the food but the salad was so freshly good and the squid was fantastic.

The last pub before the ferry and located in the upper Daintree. The staff here ate super friendly. You have to bear in mind this pub is the most northern coastal pub before going into the capes. Decent food good prices. The beer is nice and cold.

This place is far better than it needs to be. Food is cooked incredibly well, the service is friendly, everything is well priced. It has no competition. But they still care and do a great job.

Amazing food and excellent service! Had the chicken Parma and it was huge and so delicious! The quality of food is great - the chefs do a great job! Perfect place to grab a bite to eat after a croc cruise :)

Orderd a medium steak with pepper gravy Honestly the best steak I've ever had a bit of a wait but 1000% worth it I can recommend it enough

Delicious barramundi and the chips were on point! Love this little humble spot - great indoor/outdoor vibes!

What an awesome pub ☺ been calling in here for years and went here for my birthday back in January. The staff, locals and food were awesome!! Went for a late lunch and stayed for hours.. the new manager (I forget her name 🤣) was very welcoming and friendly. Can't recommend enough and will definitely be back. Hope you are ready for us 🤣

A very good option at daintree to fill up your tummy. Very friendly staff, good vegetarian options and food served fresh & hot. A must and only good option at this town 👍

Just to be somewhere different... cold beer and good pub food. The burger was huge and very tasty, I couldn't finish it. Staff are lovely and friendly, had time for a chat when they're not busy. Saturday night steak night is looking like needing me to come back. OK then. I will.

Great lunch. Finally found a place up this way that will do a veggie burger! (In fact they have two different vegetarian burgers on the menu!) Very affordable, great setting, lots of locals. Staff are friendly and attentive. Absolutely recommend.

What a gorgeous little oasis in the middle of a beautiful town in the Daintree. Nice wide seating area and not crammed in. Clean tables and a lovely green outlook. Staff were very friendly and dealt with a tour bus inundation very well. We had some fresh and crispy cold wraps as well as a burger that was custom made with chips.
