Cake & Honey

A charming cafe that perfectly blends chic style with quaint appeal, complete with a friendly owner, excellent coffee, and a delightful array of baked goods, is a recipe for a great morning and our drive from Freycinet to Hobart. My robust flat white paired wonderfully with a flavorful basil pesto and eggplant bagel, meticulously crafted and packed with flavor. Ask for a strong one if you’re used to a double ristretto/shot like me.

Delightful spot for coffee, cake and savoury treats. It’s a tiny spot, one communal table inside and a few sunny stools out front. Plus, local honey as the name suggests.

Stopped off for a coffee and food on the way to Hobart. Both were great - the savory muffins and the egg / bacon rolls were elite. Great find and highly recommended. Sorry no photos as we tucked straight into the food :)

I am a regular at this super special and unique café. Not one bite of the cakes has ever been anything but heavenly. The coffee is top notch and as for the honey... you'd have to compliment the bees for producing such a taste sensation. They also sell the very best sourdough bread from bakeries in Tasmania. To have such a wonderful café in Swansea is just too good to miss, and I make a point of recommending it to all my Airbnb guests.

Such a gorgeous little drive by cafe on the East Coast. Delicious coffee, yummy snacks, and friendly team in a cute setting. Definitely recommend.

I made my family detour from inland to coast specifically to come here and also the patisserie. I should have checked opening days and times, though... DEVO to see you are closed on Mondays!!

Terrific coffee and food, and wonderfully friendly service. The halloumi, avocado and relish roll was delicious, as was the almond croissant. A very welcome addition to Swansea.

My steadfast Thursday to Sunday brunch place, be it savoury or sweet.
If the Green’s Pie, is on offer, wolf it down. With Popeye greens from Michaela’s garden and the lightest short crust pastry, I could live on this forever.
