Wonderful experience at the Branch. The staff were extremely friendly and very attentive—consistently taking new food orders from us and checking up on our old ones. The food came super fast and was hot out of the oven. All of the food was very delicious and flavorful, and we appreciated the vegetarian friendly options on the menu. Plus, the interior and exterior are great settings. It’s a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend! Dining options in Swansea are quite limited, so we didn’t expect much, but wow was this a great experience

This quaint little restaurant in Swansea was a delightful dining experience, and a must do if you’re in the area. The young waitress was absolutely lovely and incredibly attentive which was impressive to watch, especially given how busy it was getting as more people strolled in! The chef also came out to ensure everyone was enjoying their meals which was a very thoughtful touch to the whole experience (and not something I’ve witnessed anywhere else to be honest!)
The food was delicious, and I couldn’t help but look up why this only had a 4.7 rating; the only terrible reviews were from literally 10 years ago/someone who wanted to order a salad (when salad is not on the menu...so they didn’t have salad ingredients… what a shocker)/ and a disgruntled person who came to the restaurant when it was closed (honestly; next time just call the restaurant and leave a voicemail suggesting someone update their opening times as that’s simply human error, and certainly not a reason to give a wonderful local restaurant - which you did not dine in and who probably relies on reviews- a one star rating).
Yes, the plates are small; it’s a damn tapas restaurant lol. The literal definition of “tapas” is “light snacks or appetizers, usually eaten with drinks” - so if you’re wanting a big hearty meal like a chicken schnitzel, try the pub down the road. If you’re wanting to leave with a smile on your face, a full belly of many different things you got to try, and a relaxing dining experience shared with friends (or solo), this is your place!
And no; the food is not overpriced for what it is; it’s all super fresh, locally sourced produce they use in their dishes.
Thank you, Branch, for a truly delightful dinner!
(And apologies for forgetting to take more photos of all the food we ended up ordering to try!)

In town just for the day/night, I walked around looking for a restaurant to have a late dinner
When I saw the beautiful lights on the tree (of their terrace) and heard the nice music coming from inside, I immediately knew I wanted to check it out
The beautiful building gave me extra motivation
And the warm welcome, by Kelsey, totally convinced me
I had a look at the menu, and it had plenty of tempting options, especially made to share and coming by 3 (but you can eat them alone indeed as I did), with elaborated dishes made of oysters, scallop, salmon, chicken, pork, cheese...
Lots and lots of drink options, wine, beer, cider, premixed, cocktails, whiskey, rum, tequila, liqueur, gin, vodka, tea, coffee, juices, lemonades...
To drink I personally went for a apple juice (they even had 2 types!)
And to eat I had chicken & smoked quail terrine, scallop ceviche, and the last but not the least, Melshell oysters (local ones), the spring hey pink him granita version as I was recommended... If like me you don't drink alcohol, don't worry, the way they prepare it and mix it it's actually sweet and super good
Great food (that can easily be shared), great drinks, nice music, lovely staff, beautiful setting...
Highly recommended!

I eagerly waited all morning for this charming place to open and I was not disappointed.

Tapas style dining so little plates to share, with a lot of fresh food and plenty of cheeky tassie drinks. It was especially nice to see a "kids platter" so the kids can have a great foodie experience too. Dogs on leads are also welcome.

Check it out. They're doing a good thing for those of us that love to experience the art behind food and wine. Beautiful place. For myself, it's a very romantic little dining experience.

In town for the Easter break and so glad we stopped here. Terrific food and wine list. I’d be very proud to have a local like this in Sydney.

What a great experience at The Branch! My partner and I were travelling through headed to our accommodation and stopped in at this beautiful place for food and wine. The owner and waitstaff were so welcoming and dedicated to us having a good night. We sat under the fairy light tree and next to a fire heater. Our favourite food was the torched salmon tapas. Highly recommend this place to anyone!

Wine was fantastic, along with the fantastic service from the staff constantly checking on us and topping our wine glasses. Highly recommend for staying on the east coast of tassie.

It is tapas food so don't expect a 5 course meal, it's fantastic tapas plates good to share among 2 people.

Excellent food (home made terrine, warm olives, cheeses…) and rarely seen long list of local wines by the glass of which we had wonderful Freycinet sauvignon then shiraz, revelation of à la Pauillac kind of flavored velvet by Craigie Knowe, blend of merlot & cabernet sauvignon.
Kind and rapid service.
Great place !
