Staff are super helpful, friendly and patient. We’ve been really impressed with the service each time we’ve been, and when returning an item, they didn’t make us jump through hoops to get our money back- like most places seem to do!

I have visited three times asking a lot of questions about portabke freezers.
Jake was very helpful and gave a lot of good advices in choosing products.
He is a valuable asset and outstanding employee that every retail would wish to have

I went here with my godson yesterday for the first time to buy a fishing rod for my godson . very impressive large selection of stuff and well stocked too. we will be planing another visit to this shop in the near future for sure.

Love coming to this store for all my camping needs. Spoke to a guy name Jake the last few times I’ve been in there with amazing customer service.

Great store staff friendly and they are so cheap on tents. Parking is at spotlight and there is an escalator down to the store.

My first experience walking into anaconda when they had opened up was discussing. Boxes on the floor stock the floor it was just messy , the lineup to pay was a joke .
It’s great to see they are hiring the younger helpers but asking them about a product ( they had no knowledge of it ) .
I recently been back and was pleasantly surprised I could see the floor shelfs neat , dusted, prices visible and staff that knew about the products heads up to the new improvements in the store and to Brad in the fishing department I was very impressed.
I was very negative returning back but now I will be back 👍🏻

Huge range of all the good stuff.. everyone knows that.
But I had a drama with an electrical product, brought it in and was back out the door within 5 mins. Very easy exchange.
Great customer service from young lady too.

While I still think Pete is a super star (as per below) my more recent experience with this store was less than wonderful. I encountered a service team member who was flat out rude and the store manager wasn't much better. I was looking to return a 4 Bike carrier that was UNDER RECALL!! They made it as difficult as possible even though Anaconda Head Office confirmed TWICE I could return the product and get a full refund.

Pete at this store is a super star. He sold me an awesome bike and car rack. He assembled the bike same day and even mounted the new rack on my car's tow ball for me (which didn't cooperate with him). He was so helpful and knowledgeable. Explained all the gears and brakes. (I'm a newbie and he didn't make me feel silly asking questions.) The bike is brilliant to ride and the price was excellent. Better than anywhere else. Even online! Need a bike? Go here!

I've read the reviews on the bad staff and sales and I can't agree. I have been in the shop 4-5 times over a few years and they have always been fine in my opinion. This review is mainly for the fluid bike I bought 2 years ago.

It says on the bike not for offroad - which I ignored. Knowing that the bike wasn't designed for it, I took it out on the trails and it handled everything I threw at it, and apart from the popped innertube it's ready to go again. Value for money I'd say. Built in store and they give you a 6-week tune up for free when you buy.

Made multiple purchases from the store recently as we prepare our massive trip to Peru. All the staff have really known there stuff and have all been really happy to help. The fella that helped us fitting boots was incredible and deserves a pay rise for his knowledge and patience @anaconda (He’s tall and has a beard)

Great place for camping equipment, we bought two double self inflating camping mats for 108 $ each. Good price for such quality.

A family member purchased a camping table and chairs at anaconda Newcastle as a Christmas gift. The table and chairs were purchased on a loyalty card in mid December. We didn’t get a chance to use our gift until Easter. Unfortunately the aluminium framed bench seats bowed in the middle the first time we used them. My partner and I are both about 70kgs, well under the 90kg rating for the benches. The benches bent like a banana. I took the table and chairs back into thenewcastle store. I did not have the receipt. The very friendly sales assistant was unable to find a record of purchase due to the nearly 4 months that had elapsed since original purchase date. She contacted their head office who checked their records and found the record of purchase. They acknowledged the fault and offered me a refund, a replacement or an exchange to a different table and chairs. I could not praise anaconda Newcastle more.

Purchased an ebike recently from the Newcastle store, its awesome, if you are undecided about ebikes don’t be. Better still Peter in the bike shop gave me fabulous advice and has a genuine passion for ensuring his customer is well informed. A couple of weeks later I had to take the bike back as I tinkered with the controller and ended up with peddle assist when peddling backwards... Peter was joined by Rod and together they identified what I had done and also got a manual off the web as there was not one with the bike - not Anaconas fault. Bike back to normal, friendly and helpful service once more. Thanks guys!

Great. I found the right footware at a discounted price. Had a look around and found a fold up picnic table and two long stools. Just what we need for our picnics.

I was served by a lovely young lady named Shellie who went out of her way to help with my purchase. Store had a great range also.

Had problems with a purchased from another anaconda store but bennets green stores replaced it and problem solved , staff were helpful and polite
