What a great community based establishment! Tasty pizza, standout homemade microbrews, and a focus on live music, all at great prices in a lovely setting with impeccable service! We spent New Year’s Eve there and it was a fabulous evening. Highly recommended!

Great brewhouse with awesome food and good service. Thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing afternoon with dips platter and capricosa pizza. Both were super tasty and reasonably priced! Highly recommend for anyone looking for nice place to relax ot catch up with friends in the Castlemaine area. Forgot to mention great range of boutique beers on tap with local wines and other drinks available. Will definitely be visiting again!

Great small brewery with a very good range of craft beers. I have a tasting paddle of 4 beers, my favourites are the golden ale and hazy ale. Also had the pizza here as well, serve hot straight out of the oven and very tasty. Overall it has a vibrant, and a bit quirky modern pub vibe. Highly recommended.

Delicious pizza, awesome craft beer and a great hub for live music. Really enjoyed the espresso black lager and favourite pizza was the diavola and potato pizza 🍕

Very good local brewery in Castlemaine. Located within the Mill Castlemaine area. Its a great stop after shopping in the Mill shops especially on hot summer day.

They have a good range of hand crafted beer. Plenty options to choose from. We had a jug of Golden ale which was very good. $24/jug for normal day. 10% surcharge on public holiday. We went on Australia day.

Also have a good selection of food too.

Plenty of parking. Having both indoor and outdoor setting.

Highly recommended!

Amazing range of beers, ale, IPA, brown, hazy... And the seating outside with trees and music... It was amazing... Located right in front of the botanical garden.

Great little nano brew pub.
Pizza and cheese platters on the menu.
Vegetarian options. Indoor, outdoor seating.
Friendly staff and some nice drops.
Definitely worth a visit.

We were checking out the bazaar a few 100 meters away when our tummies started grumbling. The pizza's are delicious and the atmosphere is very inviting and friendly. We will be back.

Very impressed by the quality of the West Coast IPA on tap. The takeaway can of the same beer was not quite as good, maybe a bit stale and had no best before date on the label. Still a very good price and a nice venue. I just wish I had time to try some of the other range on tap.

We love Shedshaker. Truly incredible service, people, and food/bev. As vegans, it can be difficult to find options sometimes- but the crew at Shedshaker went above and beyond. We ordered takeaway & had such a delight with the broccoli pizza, chocolate porter, and vegan cheese plate. Thank you all so much for making us feel welcome and filling us with such incredible food & beer. We always look forward to visiting Castlemaine and coming here. You really brightened our day!

Amazing atmosphere and staff, dispite not booking managed to get a table no drama. Gluten free vegan options available, some of the best beer I've ever had. Definitely recommend.

It is a true delight to taste the scrumptious beers on tap. The late night porter had a burnt taste with a smooth after taste. The Celtic Red was a flavour some treat, without being as overpowering as an IPA. The Barrel Aged Scotch Ale was an absolute sensation, and reason to organise a designated driver or catch the train here. Food is available - apparently the pizzas are great (not sampled by me though). Certainly worth a visit when you're in Castlemaine.

Love the Tap Room. Seen lots of great musos there. The beer is exceptional, but I never get past the Knucklehead Rye IPA. It is unique, and keeps me going back! Porcini pizza is pretty good too (thanks Andrew)

What an amazing place this is. Opposite the botanical gardens is this small industrial estate where Shedshaker Brewery is located.

They have 10 taps and some great beers. I tried a few of the beers including a great Raisan Toast Ale which actually tasted like sultana bread with it's cinnamon and raisan/sultana flavours. But would you have it for breakfast? Hahaha

The stout was fantastic and the cafe next door roasts it's own coffee and supplies Shedshaker. So each bottle of stout has 1 shot of coffee in it. Whoa yes please lol.

The Celtic ale was another winner. This place serves food, there's plenty of seats inside and out the back too.

A special mention to the lady who is a co-owner was some of the best customer service ever!! She was absolutely lovely and so helpful.

I walked out with a mixed slab, yes you can do that, which is great.

This place is a must visit if your in town, and it's only 90 mins drive from Melbs, and walking distance to Castlemaine train station. Cheers.

I'm stoked that I just happened to find this place through Google map search. Not only was the beer and pizza delicious, but they just happened to have a live band called Cuba Son playing a lot of Salsa and other Latina music. I wish I had my partner there to dance with me. It has a lot of people on a Sunday afternoon, so it was hard to find a table.

Shedshaker Brewery was a real treat. Beautifully crafted pizzas that are to die for! I also loved their range of brews, the cloudy pale ale being my favorite. Well done to the Shedshaker crew.

A great place for drinks, pizzas and live music. Not to big, not to small, just right. Warm in winter and shaded out door area in summer. (Sons of the Blues performing, Sunday evening session)

Slider of 4 beers for $10 was great value and bar tender provided advice of order to drink them too!!

Tried a pot of Pils Lager and a Golden ale. Very enoyable with the Pils being my favourite. Very friendly with a great atmosphere, a well layed out spacious bar and a good selection of beers.Recommend a visit if you are in the area.
