Icecream Social Castlemaine

Great little find in Castlemaine. Ice cream shop with light meals. I had a lamb & pumpkin curry, key lime pie & ginger beer for $22. Nice service too.

This little gem is a terrific visit on a hot day. My pumpkin pie ice cream was most tasty.

Last Saturday night after dinner between us we tried nearly all the flavours in the ice cream/gelatin/sorbet freezer and they were all AMAZING! From your standards to the really out-of-the-box creative flavours like Lemon Lime and Bitters, Gingerbread, Apple Pie, Strawberry and Basil, Lamington, .... but my favourite was the Peanut Butter Fudge, which was awesome.

Really good selection of ice cream, and they also have a few hot things like burgers and fries which look good.

Right in the heart of town, and always friendly people.

Love it when the van comes to the pool, or to a birthday party too!

Made with love. Changing flavours with some recurring favourites (like Chocolate Brownie and Salted Caramel) .Delicious. Served in a handy handy range of sizes, from 1-litre take-away tub to the delightful Tiny, a small scoop in a little cone: perfect!

Ice cream social were the caterers for our casual garden wedding. I can't speak highly enough of the overall experience from booking right through to pack up. The food was delicious and highly raved about by the crowd. As we had lots of kids and Helen went to great effort to serve delicious nibbles for adults whilst making mini burger sliders ( on home made bread) and baskets of fresh Trentham chips for the kids. Adults loved the huge variety and volume of meats, salads and hand made bread. Ice cream van to finish was incredible, as always. For the huge variety and extremely high quality of food, the price seemed very reasonable. We all know there ice cream is amazing and awesome.....I wanted to tell everyone that the catering is just as good!

Wow, what a surprise. It's a great shop with plenty of seating, they do lunches, the hummus looked superb, but we were there for icecream. We both chose the Ricotta with orange and chocolate chips , mine was with the non-dairy strawberry in the crunchiest of waffle cones, Madame's with the Peanut butter fudge. All amazing, the ricotta exceptional. Until now my clear favourite icecreamery has been Miinot Gelato in Pascoe Vale but now...

Amazing ice-cream that is not only tasty and delicious, it helps our students learn. Helen and the crew have supplied our school with many a treat that has the students and teachers coming back for more.

Artisan icecream at it's best! I tried the chai flavour and the gingerbread this time and loved them both! A real kick of chilli like warmth in the chai and generous chunks of delicious biscuit in the gingerbread! Kids and visitors from OS felt very spoilt.

I love how the flavours change according to what's in season and what has inspired the ice cream makers. I also love how they make REAL icecream that tastes amazing, AND you can have a proper lunch there too.

This is my favourite icecream shop full stop. Ice creams are full of genuine ingredients (Apple pie has smashed up apple pie in it!) Big scoops and inventive flavours. Ice cream social should be a stop in every trip to Castlemaine!

I don't even understand how it's possible to get icecream tasting this good. I mean, it's icecream.. it's always awesome. But this is next level. Last visit I had chock brownie and it blew my mind!

Best Ice cream in Australia. Delicious from first to last lick. Worth the drive from Melbourne just to get a sweet fix.

Awesome vegan brunch. We only visited Castlemaine for the morning and this finished a fine visit. Doughnuts were a big hit

Really amazing ice cream! I recommend the expresso flavour ice cream, it’s creamy and the coffee taste isn’t overwhelming.

What amazing ice cream! Nice 60 feel to the place and real hand made icecream! I had the ripe cherry Soo yummy!

SO YUM! Had the big salad with tempeh. Fresh and delish! Lovely staff. Wish they were open for breakfast!
