Universal Store

I went to Universal yesterday and am usually super anxious as I'm unsure about sizing/styles. However the sales assistant Rory was super friendly and genuinely helpful and made me feel comfortable and made some great suggestions in regards to items I wanted to buy. I left the store with items I really liked and will definitely be coming back! Great job Rory 😁

I went into Universal Store today to exchange an item and the sales assistant Tilda was absolutely amazing. She was entirely patient, positive and upbeat and went above and beyond to help me. Wonderful customer service!

The lady that served me was a dream. I can't stand jeans shopping but she was incredible. I felt so looked after, not pressured but also ended up with 3 great options that I struggled to choose between. Hands down the best retail service I've ever had. Thank you!

I am so glad I made this my last stop on my shopping trip, after walking into numerous shops and the simple greeting was missed, I was so happy to come into here and receive not 1 but 3 lovely interactions that felt natural.

Assorted and exclusive range of younger person streetwear not found elsewhere! Plenty of caps and hats to choose from,jam packed with stock!Grabbed a bargain pair of Blundstone brown mens leather boots for $60, so it pays to check them out from time to time! Always packed with shoppers,so they must be appealing to the young! Generally good efficient service!

Selection was good, but it was extremely obvious the store was low on sales and staff were desperate to meet KPIs. Staff were pushy about customers trying alternative options if they did not like a product and would continue to pressure customers if they said no.

This store has only clothing that goes upto size 14 only but not bigger. They have no high rise jeans that are over 16. Very disappointing. So I went to Big W on the ground floor,& they did have my size but they were alot cheaper.

I'm with Chantelle M on the lack of customer service. We attended the afternoon of the 28/09 - 3 staff members walking around looking busy but not doing much & the girl serving looked less than impressed to be there. No one came over to ask if we needed help so I took my money & spent it at Platypus. Perhaps the obnoxiously loud music they have playing in the store affects their ability to serve people, maybe they think they're in a club rather than at work! My kids couldn't even hear me talking over the loud music.

We attended the Marion store late this afternoon 21/09 and after being ignored by the sales assistants we left the store to purchase what we wanted elsewhere. Unfortunately no where else had the item we were after so we returned to the store. A second time we were ignored and watched the three young boy sales assistants standing around talking to one another and doing no actual work. After making eye contact not once but twice and still no one coming over to help we left the store for a second time. Either the staff do not care about their jobs and see them as opportunities to socialise or they are lacking in basic training.
