We had a meal here lunchtime on a Wednesday , we managed to get a table, but I recommend booking as a lot of tables were reserved. Service is at the bar or you can use the code on you phone and they text you when it is ready. There are multiple places where you can sit with all different sort of seating from plastic chairs to cushion lounges. Service was quick and they cleaned away dirty dishes when you were finished. Toilets were clean and had 1 disabled toilet with bars, not sure if you would fit a large wheelchair in there though. There are ramps to all the different sections and space between the tables to get around. They have done a great job refurbishing the place. There was a very large screen in the beer garden to watch sport, with music playing in the background. The only fault was the music was very loud in the booth that we were sitting , as we want to talk...

I've visited the Highway three times this week. We booked for my mums 90th last Sunday, then before I knew it, friends had booked on the Tuesday night & then another lot of friends last Saturday night. All our meals were fabulous. I had the roast, a Vietnamese dish and then salt & pepper squid. The food is reasonably priced for a large meal, that you get. I've always enjoyed going there for many years, and their service is excellent.

The food was sooooo delicious 😋!! I had one of the best parmi's ever 🥰. Loved the live music vibe too.

Quick delicious meals, service was great and staff were friendly. Atmosphere was good but music was way too loud for the space in the garden, seating available was fantastic

amazing space, went their with my husband and ordered fries very well salted by the way. Went there last weekend as well and saw this very young dishwasher there, made me proud to know teens these days don't just stay inside all the time. Also their famous chef don't really know his name though.

My roast beef was delicious, incredibly tender with nice selection of veg and tasty gravy. My guests both had salad bowls and added fish. They were equally impressed with their fare. Wide menu, good wine selection and attentive, cheerful staff and pleasing comfortable decor.

The dining room was busy and noisy and we all had trouble finding a car park. Guess it's a popular venue!

The DJ on the evening of 4th Feb 2024 was amazing! He played a very tasteful wiggles/baby shark combo before we high tailed it back home with our kids! Food was great! Staff were awesome!

Largess and diversity. There are so many parts to the whole that you may never ever step into another part. Once inside, you completely forget the busy Anzac Hwy outside.

There is a sports bar where you can place bets and watch lots of TVs. There's a beautiful leafy outdoor garden. Inside the dining room, there is a lovely bar. If you're bored or finished with all that, you can play pokies.

The lunch experience was good and quite busy. The tables are plenty, and the atmosphere is good. I describe the food from the kitchen as honest and good.

It’s really a stunning place for hosting the event or functions. The food and place is amazing, it’s located in the south of cbd but it’s very close to the city as well. A room can host estimate 300 people for one function, also the casino next to the function room. If you want to find a place to host event, it should be a place for you.

Attended a 50th birthday party - great night had by all. The music, ambience, service and pizzas were absolutely fab. Brodie, the glassy worked like a trojan throughout the night and always had a smile on his face - awesome work Brodie! ❤

Always enjoy The Highway - it has a casual vibe and the staff are always friendly and happy to change what they can for dietary requirements.
My friend and I usually sit in the bar or in the outside area - but decided to sit in the restaurant in this occasion as it was quieter .
We were offered sparkling or still water as we sat down - and I decided to order a Boston Sour ( which is a whiskey sour with shaken egg white and Angostura bitters ) . They used a bourbon called Buffalo Trace , which had a lovely smoky flavour like a Southern BBQ- definitely recommend this if you like a good bourbon .
My friend and I ordered the fried haloumi with lime aioli and za’atar ( which is a Middle Eastern herb/spice mix with toasted sesame seeds ) and served with a lemon wedge . The haloumi was lovely, fresh and crisp - you could hear the crunch when you bit into it .
For mains we both had the King Henry pork cutlet with whipped feta, puréed spinach and lemon and oregano potatoes. The pork was well cooked and flavourful and I loved the whipped feta - it’s a pity that there wasn’t more of it as it paired really well with the potatoes. Wasn’t sure about the spinach purée , it was only a smear and there was no flavour , but that the only complaint that I had and I thought the bourbon cocktail was so good that it made up for any shortcomings .
Staff were attentive and friendly and it was , as usual , a relaxing enjoyable place to sit back and have a meal .

Functions staff were brilliant with preparations, set up, serving and pack down. Able to select nice wine for our function and tailor the food to dietary requirements. Definitely recommend and very reasonably priced.

Had it at 4 but recently their service and food have stepped up massively! Renovations look fantastic and the menu has taken a big leap. The duck leg was so juicy and full of rich flavours paired very nicely

Very nice food. Good value for money. Had roast beef - melt in mouth. Service wonderful and very attentive.

i went their saturday night and was met with a disgraceful girl, i had my child and husband with me at the time, went up to the counter and said hello, she than said 'what?' in such a rude way, i just orded some ice-cream for my little one since it was very hot that night.
Her name i think was Bailey {saturday night front person}

Great atmosphere and very professional. Good service. My mate had too much to drink and they were awesome in how they handled it and they cut him off, as they should have. I wish more pubs were like this one !

Native creative menu 15/6/19. WOW!!!! Great food, well balanced. Service was brilliant. Very busy lunch service with 3 big tables but the staff handled it so well. Lovely quality produce, perfectly prepared and showcased our lovely native produce. Get there if you can (ends 26/6/19).

I celebrated my dad’s 50th birthday last night where we had quite a large group of people for the dinner. The staff were absolutely amazing and super friendly the entire time. The service was great, and they came around regularly to check on people’s food and if we needed more drinks. Will definitely be recommending this spot and will come back in the future!
