Lovely ladies and good stock!

Helpfull and friendly staff ,easy to peruse store.

🛍 Salvos Store Cessnock located on Vincent Street is a spacious, well appointed ‘opp’ which is a delight, to visit with huge range of quality clothing, books, decorations & small items of furniture.

🛍 As you enter through the ‘boutique’ that offers more high end retail then on to ‘regular’ items, that have weekly discounts there is so much to rummage through to find a special something.

🛍 As a regular here, at this location, ALL of the team are genuinely lovely, from the customer service, to the way they take pride to present the store, and the treasure trove it has to offer is really noticeable.

🛍 A special mention to the creative license with the displays, next level, carefully curated by Store Manager (Erin) who loans personal treasured wares for full effect, no wonder there ‘display only’.

What a sad experience. A harsh woman (posing as manager) refused my valid and legit donation, forbidding the other ladies to even talk to me. Well, this is a (or use to be) a safe palce, a compassion place, where you may seek some help. Not any more. A cruel attitude that is not appropriate for people in need.

Other places are available to seek help.

Was there with my daughter today and noticed a pair of binoculars on shelves on the left-hand side of the shop and thought ooh if they were of good quality made and I'f price was around $ 80 to $ 100 I would have bought quite easily, I asked lady at there checkout would love to look at and buy ? Straight away, I was told the items on wall shelves were not for sale ??, what the is this a charity shop ? I asked the Salvation Army to get into what they are there for ?? Raising money for the needy , or do we ask the current federal government to look into the current TAX EXEMPTION LAWS FOR CHARITYS , did not see signs saying not for sale .
