West Cessnock Veterinary Hospital

I had my staff put to sleep on Monday 2nd January due to old age. This vet showed absolute compassion & empathy they allowed us to spend as much time as we need before taking our beloved pet home. When we were ready to leave the surgery the vet proceeded to the waiting room where a family was waiting and told the mum what was about to happen if they'd like to walk.

Without a doubt best vets I've ever been to affordable. And consistently correct in there diagnosis. I Breed French bulldogs and pocket bullies and I respect there opinions greatly. Im also a 50min drive away and still wouldn't go anywere else

These people genuinely care about your pets and dont take advantage of your emotions , very helpful and kind thankyou so much Candice and Alesha for helping me with boofy and rastus , i truly appreciate your kindness and thoughtfulness at such a difficult time 🙏💕

We received excellent customer service and the vet was compassionate. Our feline needed urgent medical attention and they squeezed us in to start her treatment.

We phoned this vet as we found a bird that was not well on our property, and they were so helpful and told us to bring her straight in free of charge. We arrived there and spoke with Alisha (who we previously spoke with on the phone) She was so helpful and caring towards the wild bird. This just shows the love they have for all animals. Would highly recommend. The staff are just beautiful and have a passion on helping every animal.

Warm and compassionate veterans helping me with my frank going to cat heaven. Who lost he's nose fighting with he's sister. But a year later it was time. Having trouble cleaning and eating. He was 12yrs old.

Great as always, helpful when trying to get pets through the door, taking sensible precautions in regards to the pandemic, staff are very friendly and the vet is always willing to answer additional questions, always seems to know the answer. Good off road parking available is the cherry on top.

Wonderful caring and compassionate nurses and very special thanks to veterinarian Marshall for the care and respect given to my friend and companion Duffy my Beautiful Cairn Terrier. A sad day and hard decision made easier. Forever thankful.

Very caring and dedicated to the welfare of your pets. When other local vets are refusing to see them, West Cessnock are business as usual. Only one person per pet, but know that they're getting the very best care.

The staff are very polite and caring. They took very good care of my cat Lily, I am more than happy to recommended them.

The people there are lovely, but they also look after your animals. Most vets will want the money, But this vet likes to help there animals. They don't cost much and they look after your dog's, birds, cats ect.

When my baby boy couldn't go on anymore, the team here showed such care and compassion in easing his pain. I will be forever grateful for the care they demonstrated both towards my dog and myself that day.

After utilising another vet in Cessnock who would make your pets stay in a hot car for over an hour before seeing your pet without you allowed in the room. Then spend five minutes with your pet and give medications and diagnosis. With thousands of dollars in vet bills.This poor service killed one of my dogs BJ with their rush and incompetance as vets. I searched for a new vet for my 15 year old Bruny boy. I am so greatful I did. Not only did the other vet in Cessnock kill my dog BJ with their five minute service giving wrong medciations, getting a second opinion has proven to be the best thing i have done, the other vet i used in Cessnock is making my surviving dog Bruny also sick with medications that he does not need. Anither misdiagnosis Thank you so so much west cessnock vets for taking such good care with my Bruny and taking your time to go over him properly spending almost an hour with him. I am really greatful to have found you. I wish I went to you sooner as my other dog would still be alive if I did.

GOOD FRIENDLY STAFF , I'VE HAD MY THREE DOGS AS PATIENTS HERE FOR THEIR YEARLY CHECK UPS SINCE THEY WERE NEW BORN PUPS DATING BACK TO 2011-ISH , AND THE VETERINARIAN ALWAYZ REMEMBERS MY PETS EVEN THOUGH WE ONLY HAVE EVER NEEDED TO GO THERE ONCE A YEAR FOR CHECK UPS AND SHOTS .
