Bistrot Plume

Really lovely service from one of the owners Jackson Fort.

I arrived earlier than their standard 12pm lunch time service. Jackson still invited me in to take a seat and have a drink whilst looking through the menu.

Coffee: superb. Made exactly how I like it.

Food: everything was a delight to eat. I ordered the duck parfait (seriously good, needed to take a moment to absorb all the sensational flavours), leaves, and the piece de resistance was the porterhouse specials steak.

Thanks for a pleasant surprise and an enjoyable lunch.

Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had. Period. Highlights- duck liver parfait, tiger prawns with prosciutto butter-(next level), steak to die for. Excellent wine selection. Staff were amazing. Cannot wait to return!

A little hidden gem! My morning stop for great coffee and delicious cakes & pastries.

Team are friendly, welcoming and always with a smile. Cosy place to sit in or fast take away.

Lovely hidden gem in pretty area of Belmont , very attentive staff& top service with a smile - great they are open for coffee & treats most days , had coffee ☕ here yesterday & lunch 🥗 with my Dad recently, fish was beautiful & a flan 🍮 for myself, cherry claufatis for dessert , top wine selection & drinks 🍹, will be back .

Been here multiple times and not once has it disappointed! Staff are very attentive and friendly.Tried the set menu for dinner, was absolutely fabulous! Can’t give enough praise to the chef and anyone else involved with the meals. meals were so creative! We got to try multiple entrees, beautifully cooked ribeye steak and dessert. Left so full! Wish I’d taken more photos as I’d love to capture all the wonderful foods, but only thought by dessert when absolutely stuffed to take a photo. Will definitely be coming back

Honestly the best dining experience I’ve had for years. Food, drinks atmosphere all 10/10.

And the Rib Eye with De Paris Butter was the best steak I’ve ever eaten.

Recommend getting the chef’s selection / banquet option.

7 April 2024 update - new owners Jackson and Ben are delivering delicious food and friendly relaxed service here now. If you haven't tried Bistrot Plume recently, I highly recommend it. They are also offering a morning coffee shop service too.

Awesome service, incredibly delicious food, great setting - cosy and suburban. The 2 course lunch special here is unbelievable value. Belmont is blessed ☺

Staff were extremely accommodating despite us being 30 minutes late as we've travelled from Melbourne. Had the Sunday lunch set menu. Food was great and of good value. Will not hesitate to eat there again if I'm at Geelong!

Lovely young lady made the best coffee we've had in ages. Nice strength and hot!! Sooooo hard to get decent coffee anymore without having to ask and pay for an extra shot. And extra hot most often translates into Luke warm. Would love to return and try their menu after reading reviews but we're so rarely in Geelong.

It's been a couple of years in the making but, spot on. One of the top eating places in Geelong. Food was beautiful, chef inspired, wine excellent, service was just right ( not too over the top ) and a small copy light room.
Obviously owned and run by people with a passion for food.

A contemporary designed restaurant, intimate setting, fantastic service and delicious food. Prices at the higher end but service and quality of food justify it. Would not think that this is such an experience for its small facade or location in Belmont. A hidden gem.

OMG. Go here ... now. This is one of the best french restaurants I have ever been to and and I have been all over France. There wasn't one thing that we ordered that wasn't cooked perfectly and that wasn't absolutely delicious. The croquets are to die for. I love love loved that this place is small and only fits a few tables and just makes for such an intimate dining experience. Also cannot speak more highly of the friendly staff. They go above and beyond. Cannot wait to come back.

We loved all the food and drinks at Bistro Plume. We had the set menu where the food, in particular, the duck l'orange and creme brulee were divine. I even adored the freshly shucked oysters- they were the best I have ever eaten. They even accomodated our 7 month old baby daughter. We will definitely be back and be recommending this wonderful establishment.

Bistrot Plume is a truly amazing addition to the burgeoning Geelong dining scene. Nestled in up and coming Belmont, it’s become a beacon for locals and Melbournians alike. French to the core, the food and service here is outstanding. From the sweet and savoury treats on the counter, to the full breakfast, lunch and dinner experience, the experience is magnificent. While the Twosheds band has lunched here extensively, today we popped in for brunch. Think savoury tomato tart cooked to perfection and scrambled eggs with Moreton bay bug and brioche. Just beautiful. We are washed it down with an expensive glass of Thienot French bubbles. The lovely staff were telling us that they even do a French-style high tea on a Saturday.

What an addition to Geelong. Highly recommended. 4.8.

An amazing night, filled with a great atmosphere, awesome customer service, quality produce and delicious well presented French Cuisine 🤗 Started with the Goodnight Kiss cocktail just divine ❤ Ordered the escargot in garlic butter, a definite first try for me but full of delicate flavours that was soaked up with French baguette 😋😋 Also tried the Leek & Gruyére Croquettes, light, fluffy, beautifully cooked with great crumb 😁 Mains were the Confit Duck, carrots and pureé, the veg components were very tasty and the duck was soooo tender 👍👍 Also ordered the Plat du jour, amazing depth of flavours in the ragout and complimented with the silky soft gnocchi 😋😋 Decided upon 3 desserts to share, Apple tarte tatin with vanilla ice cream, Fromage and The Opera Cake.......A lit birthday candle was placed on the Opera Cake by the waiter, was just a special touch to help celebrate my birthday 🍾 The tarte had plump apple pieces with the most amazing caramel sauce I've ever had! 🤟 Fromage selection of soft, blue & hard were paired with a wafer thin crisp and the Opera Cake was definitely a favourite 🤗 Finished with a Lemon, lime bitters and I had a latte, great froth and a full bodied smooth blend, the perfect way to finish the evening ❤ Highly recommend this absolute Belmont gem and can't wait to return ❤❤

Good god how delicious is EVERYTHING here?! Service is spot on, the food is cooked so lovingly. The 2 course lunch is very reasonable. Take your special date, take your mother take whoever will go with you cos they will be very pleased you did

The food and service was excellent with a true French Bistro ambience. The French Sidre (cider) from Eric Bordelet was outstanding 👌 👏. We'll be back 😋
We were back, Excellent!!! Shame to French Cider is no longer on the drinks menu but still a wonderful evening.

This was a fabulous place. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. Service was brilliant, and the Menu Du Jour was an amazing experience in French cuisine. We are still talking about it!! Loved it, and we will return.

Went for lunch with a baby in tow. The waitress and the manager were very accommodating and friendly and the service was excellent. We indicated that we only had an hour before the baby has to sleep and they made sure we were able to get out in time. We even had time for dessert! Food wise, they were excellent. My fish was perfectly cooked and the gnocchi was very delicate. In fact, we were very impressed with the guality of the food. All in all, this is one restaurant that I will gladly visit any time. Well done, guys!
