Walking 🚶‍♀ a little bit and then can enjoy the smell of algae, sea . Kids did enjoy playing on rock and found some eight arm star fishes, crabs under rock.

Easily one of my favourite spots in Tassie. It's about 10 minutes to get there from the car park. The track could get slippery when it's raining so wear proper footwear.

On the way up or back down from Cape Tourville, stop over at the Sleepy bay walk, if you go after 2pm it’s not as busy - as there is fairly limited car park. From the car park it is a short 5-10 minute steady paced walk, with few stairs/hills. So I wouldn’t recommend for anyone with major mobility issues and is not wheelchair friendly.
The was is easy going, I was able to walk it with sandals. When you get to sleepy bay it opens out below the mountain and into a gorgeous small bay. No sand just rocks, beautiful photos and relaxing area to have a picnic or just look around. If you’re daring and careful enough you can climb around the rocks to your right, just be sure to be safe and not go to far - watch kids closely.
Highly recommend and doesn’t take more than 20-30 mins out of your trip back down to Coles bay or up the the lighthouse

Probably the best time for view attraction in Freycinet, an absolute gem around magic hour at dusk. Not much parking but it is not far from the car park.

Really pleased we stopped off and walked the 10 minutes into Sleepy Bay. Beautiful coastline and gorgeous red granite rocks around the little bay. Heaps of kelp in the water too.

An easy track to the beach, only 20 mins return. Beautiful orange rocks and the sands are interestingly colourful. It’s also a good spot to rest and have picnic.

Short walk to the lookout then a bit of a longer (and slightly steep downhill) walk down to Gravelly Beach but it's so worth it. Beautiful clear water, fun rocks to scramble on, calm waters the day we were there with forgot views. Highly recommend!

It's beautiful ... It's calming... It's bring the philosopher out of you... Ohh love this... Stop at sleepy bay and then carefully climb down... Be very careful and enjoy. There is no 'prohibited' notice, so it's ok... But you have to be careful.

Not a tough walk to the boulders beach. There you have a view of the bay and the amazing lichen coloured rocks.

Nice easy little half km walk down to the beach. It's full of tiny rocks (not sand). Nice place to visit and stop for lunch. Beautiful view. Very rough, not suitable for kids to go swimming.

You can stop on the way to the lighthouse to walk this track. It’s about ten minutes each way.

Absolute hidden gem, easy walk with steps, worth the detour.

Wonder how the two enormous rocks could have a cavity in them. Wonder of nature of course. The trail from the carpark to the rocks is an easy one. The weather was very windy and temperature was about 17°c.
The view of great from the trails above and down at the beach was no lesser either.

A nice hidden gem most people go for the wineglass bay hike but this smaller easier hike has great views too.

Sleepy Bay and Gravelly Beach walk will take you past few great East-Coast lookouts and most rewarding view. There are also Giant boulders with a “pac-man-like” cave in one of them. Get to the top!
