We enjoyed a beautiful 2 night stay for our wedding anniversary in this magical place! Our one bedroom cabin was spacious and comfortable and we dined at both Richardson's and The Bay restaurant - both of which were excellent. Breakfast was included there were plenty of options to choose from and the view overlooking the bay as the sun rose was just magnificent! The big stand-out for us was the staff - every person we encountered was friendly, genuine and offered exceptional service, from our warm welcome by Steffi on reception, to outstanding restaurant staff members Hannah and Pauline and finally a beautiful farewell from Loreto. This was customer service at its absolute best! We highly recommend a stay at Freycinet Lodge.

We decided to have a destination wedding with the lodge. An AMAZING experience thanks to the team. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Special thank you to Jenna and David who went above and beyond to keep up comfortable and confident for the big day.
Extremely picturesque views and the coast pavilions are comfortable and luxurious. WITH AN OUTDOOR BATH!

My partner and I eloped at Freycinet Lodge last year in October. If your looking at planing an intimate wedding you can’t look past Freycinet Lodge located on the NE coast of Tasmania
From initially contacting the events team back in October 2022, they were nothing but a pleasure to deal with, the planning process was so easy and it took away the stress of planning a typical wedding.
Included in our wedding package was the coastal pavilion, the accommodation alone was an experience. The pavilion itself was phenomenal, with the design incorporating indoor/outdoor living allowing us to feel connected to the national park. The first night of our stay, we enjoyed a romantic dinner for 2 on the water and the team were very accommodating in catering to dietary requirements.
The day of the wedding, the weather wasn’t in our favour and we did need to use the wet weather alternative for both our ceremony and reception, the wet weather alternative was just as nice and the team were very accommodating in adapting to the weather changes. Following the ceremony we had our reception at the restaurant and the three course meal was lovely, again the food was made to cater for allergies
I highly recommend planning your intimate wedding at Freycinet lodge. I look forward to revisiting for our upcoming anniversary

This was probably the most lovely hotel I’ve ever been to. The staff were kind and welcoming, the rooms were beautiful, the location was incredible.
There was a little wallaby that lived in the front yard of our room which was cute as anything.
The staff were also really compassionate when we had a family emergency which was much appreciated. I definitely recommend!

The lodge is inside the national park which is great for nature lovers, hiking and swimming..Cabins are very well designed and finished. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Food and wine were diverse, featuring local produce and delicious. Loved it, couldn’t be better.

I didn't stay here but I did have lunch at the Bistro and the service I received was exceptional. I had a work related interruption before my meal was served, and when I got back half an hour later they made a new burger for me, free of charge, after the old burger spent a while under a heating lamp. I was blown away. Additionally, the job related interruption was a job interview, and the hotel manager allowed me the use of a conference room to take my job interview in private. Some of the best service I've ever experienced at any business anywhere.

We spent two nights at Freycinet Lodge and we really enjoyed our stay. A lot of that enjoyment was because of the staff. We spent eight days in Tassie and we received good service at most places we visited but it just seems that the staff at Freycinet are on another level. Other places we stayed may have had one, or two, staff members that warranted a mention but Freycinet lodge was different. There was just one that was disinterested and seemed to want to be somewhere else, the rest were excellent. I have left individual reviews for Richardson's Bistro, The Bay restaurant and Hazards Bar and commented on the staff in each so I won't repeat that here.
That being said, David and Steffi at reception deserve a special mention for their helpfulness and excellent service generally. Emanuelle and Euen were also very good.
The cabin that we had seemed to be at the ends of the earth, and that's fine, someone has to be in the boonies. I thought that it was because the Lodge was at capacity but I was assured that that was not the case, so no idea why they shunted us to the ends of the earth. The cabin needed a little TLC. It was clean and tidy and well appointed but it was starting to show its age and needed a little 'freshening up' where the ravages of the sun have taken their toll. There was a cold porch/mud room that would be essential in winter and there was a balcony with two chairs should you wish to sit outside and enjoy a drink. There was no table provided to place a drink, or nibblies, on and there was no small table in the room that could be taken out there. That being said, we decided early not to use the balcony because it was clearly visible, and in close proximity, to the pathway to other cabins and in full view of the entrance to others. The lovely view included a fire hose and the car park, so not especially enticing. The bathroom was very spacious and had a large picture window over the bath, with the same view as the balcony. We did go outside to determine whether the window was transparent from the outside, or not. It wasn't, so we were happy about that.
There wasn't a lot of room to open up the suitcases and so we used the lounge. We probably wouldn't have used the lounge anyway. All the usual amenities from one of the better hotels.
We enjoyed our stay but would investigate other cabins, and potentially other properties nearby, next time. The real draw card is the facilities in the main building and the view from the deck in the main building. Combine that with their excellent staff and they are on a winner. At the end of the day it isn't cheap but you are paying a premium for the location, not the room/cabin and certainly not the view from the cabin.

We had the pleasure of spending two nights at this amazing lodge.
We were fortunate to be upgraded to a lovely cabin with the ocean lapping at our balcony. The service ,the staff ,but most of all the scenery was exceptional. We completed a lap of Tasmania
this was one of the last stops before heading back to WA,
If you truly want to see Tasmania's wilderness and rugged coastline this is the place to stay.
Thanks again Lee and Mark Spencer

Words cannot begin to describe just how delightful the experience we had at Freycinet Lodge was. We opted to try the 'Feed Me Freycinet' package offered during The Off Season and stayed in one of the 'Coastal Pavilion - Bay View' cabin. The quality of the cabin was beyond anything that I could ever hope for, with gorgeous wood finishes throughout, underfloor heating in the bathroom, the deck with its' stunning views over the bay and the outdoor bath! We were concerned at first that it might be too cold to be having an outdoor bath in the middle of winter, but it turned out to be a perfect combination - both nights that we were there my wife and I spent the sunset from the bath watching the colours change over the water and the stars appear - it was truly an experience that you need to have in your life! We were fortunate to have clear nights during our stay and slept with the curtains drawn open, relishing in the view of the stars and, come morning, the sunrise.
Beyond the stunning room was the just as exceptional staff - with special mention to Pablo with whom we did our wine tasting on our first night, and subsequently looked after us during our breakfasts and dinner the following days. Not only did Pablo offer fantastic service, but he also had a wealth of knowledge about local Tasmanian industries and various walks that we could do during our stay.
The food was the next big ticket item that we were blown away by, every single meal we had was phenomenal. At each breakfast the kitchen had come up with a new croissant 'special' which was absolutely delicious. Our favorite meal by far was on our second night, the 'Trust the Chef' pick provided us with mouth watering dishes featuring some of Tasmania's finest produce.
If you're thinking about staying here, I cannot implore you enough to book a Bay View cabin - it's a decision that you will not regret - we will definitely be back on our next visit to Tasmania!

Absolutely amazing! Service is impeccable - all staff are so friendly and helpful, always with a smile. Food is awesome, the cabins are spacious and super clean. And getting chocolate and wine every time room is serviced is the cherry on the top! Couldn’t fault it - we had an amazing stay.
