Kalatha Giant Tree Walk

Easy walk with some steps at the start. We did it in wet weather with no issues. Beware - Easy to miss where to stop in the car - only a small carpark. We had the place to ourselves which added to the magical ambience. The ‘giant’ is a beautiful old Mountain Ash surrounded by younger specimens.

A short but really beautiful walk. The 10-15 minute walk amongst the tall trees is great with lots of information boards on the way talking about local wildlife and the effect of climate change in the area. Car park nearby is quite small but it's also not very busy at all. A few stairs on the walk and that's pretty much it. Great for wildlife and taking photos.

Great place to go. Suitable for kids aged 4 and up to walk it on their own. Not pram suitable. Lovely area that is quiet no one else but us. Walk is mostly flat 20mins in total. No toilets or facilities.

Another hidden gem in the heart of the Toolangi State Forest ♥

A must visit if you're in Toolangi. Incredibly sized trees!!

A short, looped bush track. Great information signs along the way to learn about the native flora and fauna.

Beautiful ancient tree, pretty forest and an easy walk. Try visiting at quieter times on a weekday.

Short walk and well signed, and the tree really is enormous!

Yet another example of why old growth forest should not be logged! These forests should be preserved at all costs.

A super tight tree viewing experience. Mad parrots and heaps of totally skitz fungos.
