Grand Central Hotel

This was the first time at the Grand Central since the new owners took over this year. My wife had the Chicken Parma and I had the Bangers and Mash. The Parma was really good. Moist and tasty. The Bangers had creamy onion sauce instead of the brown onion sauce you normally get. It was a nice surprise and was a nice change.
The service was great, plenty of smiles to go with it. We'll definitely be back to try some of the other dishes. We'll done ✔

Had a group of 40 stop for a meal. Excellent service and food was great. Generous serves and freshly made where possible. Newly renovated.

We just had dinner here, and we could not be happier with everything, the meals were so fresh and delicious, the service amazing. We will be back .❤♥

Stopped in for lunch - we all ordered burgers - they were divine. Great Spot

It was 4 o'clock in the afternoon so not many people there but the beer was nice and cold after a hot day at work.

Country town atmosphere - fully air-conditioned with a piano player and great food. Don't walk past this one.

Best service in recent times. Stopped in with the wife and kids on the way through. From the outside it looks like any of the hotels in the street, but as soon as you walk inside the service and welcoming atmosphere set this place apart. The landlord/landlady were both so welcoming. Got toys for the toddler, held the baby while we ate and made sure we were comfortable and looked after. It's a real pleasure to find such customer service excellence in places you don't expect. The food was also fantastic and well priced. Well done to the team at Grand Central Hotel. My recommendation: Stop in Yea and go to this place.

Saturday night dinner, sat at table next to the open fire - very cosy. A married couple run this pub, very friendly & chatted with my group at the end of the evening. Food was excellent, the blue cheese & spinach tortellini, and the bread & butter pudding with fresh berries I ordered were as good as I've had at "fine dining" restaurants. Everyone in my group loved this place, I highly recommend it for its warm country pub ambience, & quality of food & service.

Fabulous food. Absolutely delicious meals. We had the Lamb Roast...yummy...and hubby had the Reef 'n' Beef. Awesome friendly staff too. Cozy atmosphere with the open fire crackling away. Will come back for sure.

Thank you Mary & Craig for your hospitality. Luke and I were travelling through Yea on our way to Mansfield on Friday night and made plans to stop here for dinner. I am so glad we did! Not only were we greeted with friendly smiles and a warm fire place, our meals (steaks) were absolutely delicious, generously sized and an awesome wine to with it. We stayed far longer than we had planned but just felt so welcome that we enjoyed a second round of drinks.
We will be back!

Have never had such caring and welcoming service.
We were unfortunate enough to hit a wombat and have our car break down nearby. While we waited for a tow truck, they were incredibly friendly and sympathetic to our situation, making sure we had someone to pick us up or a place to stay. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked chicken & amazing chips. My friend is vegan and had the bruschetta which was sublime.

Incredible service & truly wonderful people.

Stayed overnight in this lovely hotel as a stop over along the rail trail. Our room was gorgeous, clean, and the bed was super comfy. The accommodation has been newly renovated with nice new bathrooms for guests. Breakfast was perfect and very generous, and we enjoyed a great pub meal too! Hosts are the loveliest most genuine people and we would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

Had a great roast pork meal with vegies today - YUM!!!! This was during a very nice drive trip to Yea with other car enthusiasts driving their cars along the roads. Nice place to relax.

Nice people and food was good.
Attention is needed in bathroom.
I used the bathroom was a little dirty, bins needed emptying. Next day we are at cafe next door, I went to the bathroom again at pub and they were still dirty, bin still full, toilets still dusty. Takes 5 minutes to freshen them up.

Actually we visited Molly's café which is attached to the side of the hotel. The coffee - long black - was the best I have had in ages and the blueberry muffin was delicious. My friend's pie and salad looked good and sitting out in the beer garden was fabulous. Loved this place.

A friendly welcome, great menu plus Gluten Free for Coeliacs. We had a truly delicious lunch here, staff were extremely helpful as hubby needed GF. Meals were plentiful and scrumptious and beautifully presented.....Thankyou to the Chef and staff. Will definitely return next time we are in Yea Vic. Shiraz was great too!
