From this old station you can join the Great Victorian Rail Trail which goes along where the train tracks used to be. Start here and cycle to the scenic Cheviot Tunnel or further afield. A very tidy rest area with a Children's Playground and clean Public Toilets. On the 1st Saturday of every month the Yea Country Markets are held behind the station and run from 9am till 2pm,

Great place to stop for a little break mid trip. Clean toilets and a great playground for the kids. Shame there is no actual working rail line there any longer though.

Did the Yea to Cathkin section of the Great Victorian Rail Trail, starting at the Yea railway station. Lots of historical information and a great day out on the bike. Good coffee at Mint and Jam cafe.

I always stop here for either the clean toilets, the spacious shaded picnic area, or, if with children, the wonderful playground with sails for shade, topped off with the "flying fox" in the playground for ages 4 and up. The playground was completely renovated in 2019 after a fire destroyed the earlier one. A 30 min rest stop is a must at this location.

Stopped at the park here for lunch on our way through to Mansfield. Ideal location, with protected shelter, great play ground for the kids, and toilet facilities. It was just a lovely place to stop and have a break from the driving

Lovely parkland with toilets and a playground. Good place to stop and stretch the legs when travelling. Not too far from main street Yea if you want food or drinks.

The council have turned this into a beautiful park and rest stop. There are undercover picnic tables. The toilets are clean and well maintained. Very peaceful ... except for the cockatoos

The perfect place to stop on your trip. We grabbed takeaway from in town after a few night away camping. There are many undercover tables and a fantastic playground that caters to many ages. My older boys loved the flying foxes and the younger ones enjoyed the train (complete with sound effects) and double slide

Lovely place to hang out, with the covered benches, BBQs, toilets and plenty of space for families. Rail trails on disused railway lines are great when they are repurposed as well as this one is. For the infrastructure to have been preserved and enhanced like this is wonderful.

Great spot for a toilet break and a stretch of the legs. Short walk to get a nice coffee too. Park for the kids as well so worth a look.

Public toilets, picnic tables, play equipment and a bike path make it the perfect spot to stop if you are on a car journey and want a break without spending money.

There are markets/other special occasions that bring a few more locals that are worthwhile visiting.
