Dr Daniel Ford

Dr Ford helped correct our sons tongue tie and we were really impressed with his professionalism and attention to detail. It can be quite an anxious procedure for parents but we felt at ease as he came across as incredibly knowledgeable and experienced and treated our newborn son with care and gently corrected the tie. His overall team and the staff at the clinic were all wonderful.

Saw Dr Ford with my 3 year old. This guy is amazing. Very calm, really nice, and the work he did was incredible. Was recommended by my paediatrician, as well as friends. I am so glad I did my research this time. It was the most professional experience. I still can't believe my little one is fixed.

Dr Dan Ford is a dedicated, driven and caring professional who took wonderful care of our son following an injury to his mouth and jaw. I highly recommend him, and we are extremely thankful for his care.

Daniel is the best of the best. It wasn't cheap, but the treatment and experience was priceless. Thank you so much to the whole team.

The service was a bit pricey but excellent

We were very shocked at just how much more this place charged us just for a consultation. And nearly had a heart attack when we were quoted over $9000 for the work that my daughter needed to have done. We found another dentist in Buderim that did the consultation and the work for less than $1200

For a Pediatric dentist, Dr Ford truly lacked any form of bedside manner with my child. He suggested my son receive a plate to assist with his teeth but as my son has some mild disabilities, his gag reflex made this very difficult. Dr Ford chose to push through and essentially told my nine year old to toughen up... to the point he threw up. Then Dr Ford had the audacity to look at me as if it was MY fault! As a result my son has developed a genuine fear of dental work. Great job Dr Ford. Your arrogance has contributed to my sons phobia and your attitude to parents is appalling.

A few months have passed since our encounter with Dr Ford, I resisted writing this review then, but it is time now. If you attend and get advice to have surgery, please get a second opinion. There are other pediatric dental specialists in Brisbane. They may also suggest the same thing, but get the opinion anyway.

This is a factual account of my family's personal experience with regard to this person.
I would be keen to see what his return patient list is like.

An issue with my son after a playground incident cost us $220 dollars to be told he would have to have 2 x root canals under general anethetic and was going to be 5k or remove both teeth (approx 2k) now for a three year old boy to be put under general anesthetic I thought was very extreme. Note I was not at the appointment only my wife and our son plus newborn second child were present and I honestly believe this family unit encountering mixed emotions was very much played upon.
Surgery was set for 1 week from the consultation however I was keen to have a second opinion. 2 days after consultation contact was made with my wife via his admin lady and when she expressed our concern over such a big procedure we were then told that this was very serious and that if our kid was not seen as previously booked for surgery (keeping in mind from consultation to surgery date was 1 week) and we did not keep the appointment that
1 it could be major issue for our kid and
2 THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SEE MY KID IN SURGERY FOR 2 MONTHS.

I got 3 other opinions from a dental nurse, a dentist and a paediatric dentist and without giving any previous opinions to them their initial diagnosis was no where as extreme as this diagnosis.

I ended up going with a VERY professional paediatric dentist who put my mind at ease. He gave me 4 options for a solution. He did give 1 option the same as the 5k option above but said in his honest opinion although it was an option it was not recommended and we decided to extract 1 tooth and leave the other alone.

Money on this issue was never a governing factor on my decision to be made but we had the whole procedure complete with consultation cost included for under 800 dollars.

I have spent some time writing and rewriting this review so it is factual and not personal based although I am very annoyed with the initial consultation my gut feeling told me to seek a second opinion which I did and I encourage everyone to do the same and to draw your own conclusion on this person's practice and not be emotionally driven to make a decision upon 1 opinion..

A second opinion was sought and it ended in a saving of almost $4000. I suggest everyone obtains a second opinion after consulting with Daniel Ford on their children's teeth

Overcharging and over-treating. Go somewhere else. NOT the best there is.
